I have a Furuno radar (NAVnet VX2). The heading flash is not lined up by about 5 degrees. The menu will not let me adjust it as the manual says it will. Is there a secret way into that adjustment?

SOURCE: Furuno Radar 1623 and 1715

Hello.

According to the operating manuals of the two radars (found on Furuno's Website (www.furunousa.com), they do use the same antenna cable.

Hope this was helpful.

Ca I buy a 5 metre extension cable as the 10 metre cable that came with the 1623 is too short?

Quite sorry but Furuno does not carry "extension" cables for radar antenna signal cables. If the original cable is too short, you would need to obtain a 15M whole cable, furuno part number 001-122-870-10. Or the 20M whole cable part number 000-144-565. You might be able to find a technician willing to custom manufacture an extension for you but I emphasize the word might.

John

IS THERE A EXTERNAL ANTENNA AVALIBLE . IF SO WHAT MODLES CAN I USE THANKS MODLE 1623 FURUNO .

I would assume you're talking about the radar? it's a RSB0093-074 it's just for the 1623. There are no other options. If you're referring to gps antennas then any antenna that outputs nmea can be used.

How can I connect a LCD monitor in furuno radar fr 2827

You need a Furuno Monitor on that unit. There are special keypad functions involved with the monitor. I have a Furuno MU201CR/DC (20 inch) that i think is compatible, if you are interested.

Furuno radar 1621 do not show targets

You may have a faulty magnetron or one that has gotten old. They do have a life. Find out how many hours you have on the unit and give furuno a call. They will more than likely tell you what they think the problem is.
