Ok it's the part underneath where you breath in. Screw off that part and put it in. Then the tube will push the air thru making the mist.

How do I set the machine so that I will get more moisture when I am sleeping?

That depends on just which machine you have. Care to post a brand name at least, and perhaps a model number?

Compresor mode l5650 has lots of vibration causing the door to rattle when in use

More than likely this is due to the motor running, although depending on the condition and age of the motor it could be old. One way to tell is just by listening to it. If the compressor sounds are consistent than it should be ok. Your best bet is to place something under the motor/ compressor to lessen the vibrations. I'd suggest an inexpensive (can be found for under a dollar or two) computer mouse pad made of rubber although anything made of a rubber, gel-like substance will definitely help.

Tubing coming out of machine gets very warm

This is common that these smaller units get warm when running for longer than five minutes at a time. I have never had a problem with it overheating though. If it would make you feel better the larger Pari units rarely get warm. The Pari LC plus neb kit may need replacing. This may fix the problem.

Very little mist coming out

You'll read a lot about making sure that the filter is clean and that the medicine cup is cleaned and that hard water can effect the operation of the nebulizer. However, the problem is most likely in the pump. Even though the pump is running, it is not pushing enough air into the medicine cup. You may even feel air coming out of the tube. When unrestricted, the air will come out, but, once restricted by the medicine cup, the air may not be fast enough to nebulize the liquid. If you want to confirm this, take the tube and hold it to the end of a bike pump, if, while pumpung, you successfully see mist, then you know for sure.

Fixing the pump is not too difficult. Over time, the chamber where the air is compressed becomes dry and, just like a dry bike pump, the air escapes from the chamber due to poor seals. The pump is pretty simple. Make sure it is unplugged from power and remove the screws holding the housing together. Inside you will see the motor, a fan, a power switch and the intake and outtake tubes. Follow the outtake tube to the pump. The junction where the tubes meet the pump is the location of the air chamber. You may need to remove the screws that secure the tubes to the chamber. Once apart, take some grease and lightly coat all of the interior surfaces of the chamber. When finished, reassemble and you're good to go!

Need to have a copy of the manual for a devilbiss pulmo-aide 3655

The long tubing should have a green end and a blue end. (If both ends are the same it does'nt matter) Now the little cup that holds the medication...look at the bottom of the cup. It should have a male connector (blue or green) take the end of the tubing that matches the color of the male connection and firmly plug them together. Hold the chamber/cup upright. If your unit has a little plastic diffusor, drop that inside the chamber. now locate the top af the chamber and screw it on. You should have a large whole the size of a nickle on top. This is where you squeeze the medication in. After putting in the medication put the mask(or mouthpeice) Firmly into the place where you put the medication into....and your peices should be assembled. Last thing is to plug the other end of the tubing into the machine itself and then turn on the power.

There is no mist coming out of the neb machine.

No! don't buy a new machine. First wash the mask, tubes and any other washable part really well by hand. There could be some dryed on fluid blocking the flow of the liquid. Then make sure that the part where you put the liquid does not have liquid on top of the ******** part. Usually a bit of shaking off of the liquid or using a paper towel to dry that part off should help. If this doesn't work let the nebulizer dry out overnight with all parts seperate. I constantly have these kinds of problems with my nebulizer and these seem to do the trick if these don't work then you might need a new machine.
