You need a receiver. A surround sound receiver is a 5-channel amplifier with a line-level subwoofer out. These are available at electronics stores. Receivers usually have digital inputs like optical and coaxial that you can use with the S/PDIF output of your PC.

Jvc surround home theatre system wont switch on

If the theatre system is not getting the power, then the most common reason is that your POWER IC had fried somehow. Take it to a technician. If you are good with electronic stuff, get yourself a new IC. The number of IC is listed on it and then replace it yourself with the help of soldering.

Connecting JVC television set model AV29LX2 / JVC home theatre system/satellite decoder / Sony DVD recorder

You need to buy a splitter in order to put one to the DVD recorder and one to the tv from the decoder. You should be able to get one at the Local Radio Shack or other electronics store.

Sounds cuts out if volume is over 30

hey
I have been has same problem for long time, actually problem was on and off... the reason was short circuit of speakers or speaker connections.

I find a little peace of cable stack inside of the connection handle. you know all the cable stick on back...

well what you can do is, unscrew all the screw back and the bottom of the box. slice the electronic box, just check connection piece is clean cable free....

use always clean cable and don't put it too much.

it is very easy to fix

Sound does not come out of home theatre system

Check for power to the Home Theatre system. If you have lights on the front of the system, check your connections to the external speakers. Next check the output settings in your TV's setting menu. More info from you regarding this problem would have been helpful. I'm guessing your thoroughness is probably going to turn out to be a contributing factor.

Hey there, I have some information that may be able to help you. You don't have a Optical Output for you system but that does not mean you can not hook it up to your TV directly. Or if you got a fancy Receiver on your hands you can hook it up to that too. All you'll need is the Audio cable that will connect your Hometheater System to your TV or to your Receiver. Its very easy hooking it up. If you have any more questions or anything like that let me know.
