Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My father-in-law bought a computer 2 yrs. ago but threw out the original box immediately. He was never able to get it "up and running" (to be able to log on) and went back to using his old one. He gave us this basically new, unused computer but we aren't able to log on. He said he never logged on either, that there was a number on box that need to be used to originally set up password. What can we do? How can we go about setting up first time password?

I think it is the administrative password, if you go back to the purchased site, it'll cost you to get the acess keys. What I can help is, find a CD or software for henry's boot utilities all in one and theres a software that you can go in to the operating system change password or remove password, have have to boot from the CD. Press Del at the boot process to change boot squence. you find this CD it is helpfull.

Hi there I have a ford escape 2001, I have it for about 2 yrs now and Ilove it, but just about 5 days ago the negine light came on and it stayed on, I threw some oil it thinking that it was going ot go off...

Check your oil level immediately, as too much oil will cause engine damage. Do not overfill the oil level.
It could be a simple oxygen sensor which is malfunctioned or dirty, but the only way to find out is to hook up the car to a code reader and find out.
If it runs fine otherwise, then usually a simple sensor is slightly out of tolerance and the main computer is making compensation for this.

Garage door opens

Do you have the option to change the electronic codes on your garage door opener system? My father-in-law had the same problem a number of years ago. He had not reset the code (equivalent to the combination on a lock) from the equivalent of 0-0-0 (which his unit shipped with). Turned out that a neighbor (or neighbour - in Canada) had the same /similar unit and when the neighbor opened 'his' door, my father-in-law's door would also open. You don't have to see the person drive by - it can be the neighbors behind you as well. You may find a solution by determining if you can change the original electronic code to a different one of your own choosing.
Hope this helps.
