I have a dead E151FP monitor...need either a schematic or another damaged monitor
I'd like to repair this E151FP monitor..there are burned components on the power supply board..would consider a replacement board from another damaged monitor...maybe someone has a display bad but the power supply board is good? email@example.com

felixrodrigu, The problem not outside monitor! It is inside. Some or all of following will need to be replaced on printed circuit (smps)board. capacitor c605, c7o3, c7o7, resistors r615(.68 ohm 1 watt) ,r623 4.7 ohm 1/8 watt, 1000 ohm 1/8 watt, D604 diode (1n4148) , IC 601 (uc3842b) and Q601 . If not handy with soldering iron and solder, leave repair to qualified technician. Do some research and you will understand why your unit has failed!!! 12fixlouie
This monitor is know for a lot of parts that go bad, luckily they are usually the same ones.
If you are a technician or know one who can help you. Below is a list of part to repair/replace once the case is opened. (dont try this if your unfamilier with working on electronics.
1) F601= 2A Fuse 2) C605= 68uf 400v (must change) 3) R615= 0.68ohm 1watt 4) Q601= SSS6N60A 5) R613= 1Kohm 1/8watt (value changed to 2.3Kohm or higher) 6) R623= 4.7ohm 1/8watt (value changed to 7.2ohm or higher) 7) D604= 1N4148 8) IC601=UC3842B 9) C707 & C703= 1000uF 16V (must change, because of bad ESR value) secondary filter capacitor.
This problem of dell e151fp lcd monitor, you just need to resolder the inverter section (bad points or dry joint) and also check the capacitor value with ESR meter. It will solve your problems.
You dell e151fp lcd monitor may have a bad/weak capacitor on power section(primary and secondary). Just change the buldge capacitor and use the Dick Smith ESR Meter to check the capacitor esr value. If you not sure all the above, you may go to this site to get the list of bad component on dell e151fp lcd monitor. You have an intermittent problem. That means a component is going bad in all probability. If it was a capacitor that burned up you would not have any picture. Your problem requires a schematic plus an tester. You would need to check values for all components. If you have not done this (and assuming you can follow an electrical schematic) and if new to diagnosing these types of problems plan on spending many hours at the task. The question you need to ask yourself perhaps is is it worth it.....particularly since even if you find the problem it may require ordering parts...and you might need some basic soldering skills, etc.....If it was me...I would probably either send it in for repair (deifnitely if under warranty) or buy another.
