Resetting by 'Software'
Resetting to the Factory Default Settings from the interface:
Go to the interface of your camera by typing in the camera's IP address in the browser. Example: http://192.168.1.253/
Click Setup, Maintenance, Default Reset, Reset to default and then click Execute.
Resetting by 'Hardware' Resetting to the Factory Default Settings using the Control button:
Disconnect the 'DC IN' cable from the camera.
Hold down the 'Initial Set' button.
Reconnect the power adapter using the 'DC IN' jack while holding down the 'Initial Set' button. Release the 'Initial Set' button after 5 seconds. (The reset could take up to 180 seconds)
When the 'Status' indicator changes to green, the process is completed and the camera had a Factory Default Reset.
Use Default Settings If you want to return the initial language setting such as Language, Video, Audio and etc. to the factory default, do the following: 1) Press SETUP button. 2) Press / button to select Misc. 3) Press button to select Use Default Settings, then press ENTER button. 4) Press / button to select "Yes", then press ENTER button. The original setting will be restored. Screen saver : On Do you want to use default setting? Note When you reset the DVD player to the factory default, the DVD player will take 3-5 seconds to reset.
To factory reset or change it to default yuo have to go to change to default setting then key in your password then it will now return to its default..

Most netgear routers default to a username of "admin" and password is either " admin ", "password" or it is just blank. Those are the defaults unless someone changed it.
If you cant get in you can hold down the reset button on the back for 30 seconds (while it is plugged into power) and that will set it back to factory default settings then one of the above should work.

Most of the NETGEAR devices, except ReadyNAS products and Fully
Managed switches, have the following default username and password:
Username = admin
Password = password
For older devices, password = 1234
If you have changed the default password and have forgotten it,
you will need to reset the NETGEAR device to factory default settings in

By default there is no username or password required to access
CentreWare Internet Services. If a username and password have been
configured for CentreWare Internet Services and you do not remember the
username and / or password, reset the printer to factory defaults
(NVRAM reset). To reset the NVRAM, go to the front panel's Main Menu:
Select Troubleshooting, then press the OK button.
Select Service Tools, then press the OK button.
Select Reset NVRAM, press the OK button.
Select Reset NVRAM and Reset Printer NOW, then press the OK button to
