Hello Tom, you would have to measure if the engine gets power, also control the key that drives the engine when it starts
Check if you can move the motor shaft with your hand, to confirm that it is not locked

It's likely the belt has slipped of and probably needs replacing. You can do this yourself. It will be found under the turntable matt. The trick though is fitting it back on. But you might find the instructions on-line (enter the model number into google search). Some people have even put YouTube video's on how to replace the belt on popular turntables.

Transforners are safety parts and should only be replaced by those authorised by the maker. If you need to replace it contact Crosley as to where you can get one.

Unfortunately it is the laser pickup that is the problem, if it has not worked from day one it was flawed from manufacture, and if you happen to have warranty left I suggest you use it now, simply because to replace the assembly would not be cost effective.

If this is a belt driven turntable, then you have to replace the belt, as this units gets old the belts loosen up as well.

Wild guess but try this with the power off. Rotate the platter clockwise about 5-10 turns. You may feel internal mechanical engagement as you do it. The cueing mechanism may cycle it through its motion and return it to the rest.
