I had same problem. Do you people realize that if you go to Kodak easyshare 5300 all in one printer that they have a users guide with an index that tells you exactly how to do anything you need to know.

  • Anonymous Dec 05, 2008

instead of a clumsy video, why couldn't they just give me a diagram?
or, better yet, why not send  printed instructions with the printhead?
are the new all in ones (esp?) as bad as these early ones?
this is the fourth time i've had to replace the printhead. you'd think i'd know the process by heart.

On this website:
http://www.kodak.com/global/plugins/acrobat/en/service/manuals/AiOPrinters/printhead/AUR1780-9_UE_RevC.pdf

You can find illustrated instructions on how to remove the old printhead, as well as on how to put the new printhead back in place.

You can easily go to that website by going to:
www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport

and selecting the second option "installing new printhead".

Greetings Ladyediona,
Sorry to hear about your trouble. Sounds to me as though the issue is related to your print head and it needing replacement. The best way to do this is to call Kodak at 800 421 6699. The team there will help you get a new print head for your system.
You can also go to the following web site to get the help you need and a new print head sent to you. Just complete the requested information and at the end of the review a screen is offered which will send a print head. Try visiting:
http://www.kodak.com/go/itg
Once you complete that process you can also ask the system for details on how to install the print head once it is delivered. There are instructions in the box as well. It is quite a simple process.
Good Luck Lady, you should be back printing in no time if you haven't already.

Removing the printhead on a kodak 5300 is very easy.
take out the ink cartriges, top part of the printhead is a lever push up on the lever, pull the printhead out from the bottom. to install a new one set in place where you see the finger mark on the back wall, push in and it will snap in place.

There seems to be quite a few people including myself with printing
issues after just a short time of ownership of Kodak printers. You really have to call to get satisfaction or before you take a hammer to it. They will truly help you out, they are great. No instructions tell you how to take out the old printhead. There is a button to push on the
left side upper corner of the old printhead and it comes right out. The
new one snaps right in , in the old ones place.

Laser printer makes light clicking noise when idle

When idle is potentially the fuser unit, after heating and cooling. However the print quality issue associated with the clicking sound could indicate an electrical issue. The HVPS maybe faulty causing the print quality issue (due to dependant parts) and the electrical click. In any case I would recommend calling Brother and finding the nearest authorised service agent.

Printer won't recognize cartridge

I had the same problem. I'm not sure but I think I replaced the cartridges when the printer was on because I turned the printer off and removed one of the cartridges. When I turned the printer back on it recognized that cartridge but not the others. I turned the printer off again, rmoved all cartiridges and put them back in when the printer was still off. When I turned the printer on again I had no problems. So...try turning off the printer, rmove all cartridges, then put them back in and restart printer. Hope this works for you .

Samsung kicked out hp 3in 1 printer already installed

Don't have your HP designated as the default printer (if possible)when you hook up the Samsung. When the Samsung is hooked up it sees the HP is the default printer. Well it can't have that, they discard the HP drivers. What does Samsung care about HP drivers theres only one printer port setup and thats the USB port you have them sharing. So yes you need to get a second cable. Tim
