You have a fwe things that can be wrong. Either your switch is bad which is located on the lamp cover and is also part of the back cover of the television. If you remove the cover you will see the switch I am referring to. You could also have a faulty fan, or just plain dusty on the inside. Start with that and if you have futher problems then repost your question.

When the tv is on,Theres a cloud starting to appear in the middle of the screen and really noticeable on a black background,Seems to be getting bigger..!

If you have a rear projection LCD TV the cause is excessive heat, that in turn is normally caused by dirty air filters or poor air flow.
If you clean the air filters out it may halt the progress of the problem.

Today I bought SONY KDL37EX402 LCD TV. Immediately when I turned it for the first time I noticed an unpleasant sound like a “buzzzzzz” from the back of the TV. As I worked it for more then 5 hours I...

It can be from the power supply is not able the supply enough power due to failing components in the power supply module such as DC filter caps or loose transformer core is vibrating or from the backlight inverter transformers. You will have to take a close listen to find out exactly where the noise is generated from first.

Slight shadow on part of screen

Hi, There have been several problems lately with the screens doing that. The only way is replacing the screen. I have located the problem causing it, It is the light filters in the panel, not replaceable at this time."pain in *** too"Did it from a broken panel. The light filters diffuse the light evenly so you do not notice the backlights. If you bend it,it will cause shadows like your getting. They heat up and swell a bit. And that is what is causing it. I have contacted Samsung,And Magnavox about the problem. Will not sell replacement light filter at this time tho.The LED backlit will not do this. They run cool.

Bulb went out

This maybe a McGuyver thing. Last thing you want to do is block the air flow to cool down your TV set. I would blow out all the dust, get a HEPA filter for house ventilation, get a computer cooling fan. Cut and put the filter in front of the fan, make the fan blow in to the TV vent in the back, that way it blows clean air in and keeps dirty air out. I hope that's one good idea.

My tv keeps turning off by itself

You need the bulb repleaced in the back of the t.v. You need to call your retailer to find out which company they use and or if you have a warranty they can replace it for free.

Flat sceen tv

If it's a DLP, I've noticed the air vents for ventilation in the bulb housing were not opened all the way when I replaced my bulb. The vents closed too much will cause the bulb to get hot and shut down the system. Try removing the bulb housing and opening the vents as much as possible to allow appropriate air flow. This solved my problem.

Panasonic PT-60LCX64 Air Filter Cleaning

Cleaning filter for the Panansonic PT-501LCX64.

I just had a T.V. tech do this. The filters are located on the two removable filters on the back side of the T.V. They look like the speaker units. He removed those two units, unplugged them & set them on the floor. He took some type of electronic cleaner with a cloth & wiped them down. The filters themselves are plastic. He explained that air flows through some tube connected to these plastic filters for cooling down below. He admitted they didn't look dirty--put everything back together & it is working fine now.

I imagine that dirty or not the timer is automatically set for every 400 hrs. of use to give you the prompt that the filter needs cleaning & will shut off in one minute so you can call a T.V. tech?

So to reset the timer--follow the other detailed prompts listed on this board & or use your owners manual & follow the prompts for replacing the bulb. That should take you somewhere to reset the timer--so you have another 400 hours of operation.

I believe it's with the T.V. turned off--hold down the down volume on your tv itself while holding the swap button on the remote control for 5-7 seconds---then follow the prompts. You should see a prompt for replacing a bulb & then one for filter cleaning. Then just reset the timer.

Hopefully this will help?
