Be sure the carafe is pushed all the way back. It must push the lever on the back of the machine in order to open the valve on the filter holder

We had this same problem and it turned out that the inside if display and circuit board caught on fire and melted inside. File a report with the USCPSC and call Black and Decker. They are sending us a new model free of charge but they are also telling me to send them the coffee pot free of charge wtih postage paid. I refuse to do this for 30 days because the Consumer Product safety commission wants me to keep it for 30 days to investigate

Black & Decker Brew 'N Go Coffeemaker: Why is it

Check the valve on the bottom of the filter basket to be sure it is opening freely and completely. This valve may have some grounds caught in it. If it is clean but appears to be sticking, try some non-stick cooking spray or vegetable oil.

I just have the regular Black & Decker coffee maker and I have the water in it and the filter with coffee, everything you are supposed to do. It used to work just fine and then one day it stopped...

Sounds like you might have coffee oil build up. I would suggest soaking the Brew Head Screen, unscrew from the brew head where the coffee oils come into contact with machine, and filter holder in a coffee oil remover or dezcal.
Remove the screw if your filter basket has one and do not screw too tight when putting back together or it will happen again

Filter cone is full of hot water & thermo pot has about 5 - 6 cup

Te water fill lid is not closed or or the flow valve in the tank is plugged. Remove the basket and clear the hole in the bottom of it.. If new, return it to place of purchase.
