Nothing works I have a GE spacesaver microwave oven that worked fine one moment, and then the next time we went to use it, nothing was working. There is no display, the keypad doesn't work, and the light doesn't come on. It's like it's getting no power, but I checked the power outlet and the outlet works fine.
My microwave worked fine last night and this morning there is nothing on the display. It is like it is getting no power. Have tried flipping the fuse but to no result. My microwave worked fine last night and this morning there is nothing on the display. It is like it is getting no power. Usually a Thermal protection (Like Circuit Breaker) this should be tested with Multi Tester. If this open, no Electrical Power goes to the Primary Winding of your High Voltage Transformer and will not power up your magnetron therefore no heat inside the Microwave Oven.
This is almost certainly a blown thermistor. This device is located at the air outlet on the microwave. This is a thermally sensitive resistor that cuts power if the unit overheats for safety. It can fail because of age also. Replace with the save value unit. You can get this part from electronics stores like Radio Shack.
