Will not go past the set up when turn on just repeats it over and over again.
Setup? Why is it even going into a Setup? Did you try to reinstall windows and somehow cancelled or the system crashed in the middle of it? Maybe you mean start up? Let's assume it won't get past Start up. Turn off the laptop and turn it on again then immediately start hitting the F8 Key until you see a screen that will allow you to boot into SAFE MODE. When you see that screen scroll down and you should see an option that says something like Cancel or Stop Automatic Restart On Boot. Take that option and that will allow you to see why the machine keeps restarting. Afterwards turn it off again and repeat the steps previously defined to get to SAFE MODE. Take the Safe Mode option and let it boot into windows. Windows will look bigger and darker in Safe Mode, that's normal. Now click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Run System Restore and restore it to a day and time before you started having this problem. System Restore does not destroy your data, documents, music, pictures or videos, so it's safe. However, System Recovery destroys all data, docs, music, pictures and videos and sets your system back to the point where you first purchased it. Depending on your operating system you might have a different way to get to System Restore, but it's on your system. If the restore points are damaged and will not let you get to a previous date and time then you will need a system disc to get into the recovery console and type the following command: chkdsk /r Check disk will run well over an hour and you will see the percentage toggle from high to low but that is normal. Let it run until it finishes then reboot.
