If it does not require you to dismantle the whole case in order to replace the door you should be fine. Else, have a qualified tech at your local camera store do it for. Professional cameras like yours is not for DIY.

First question you need to ask is. Do I have a warranty on this camera? If so you should take it to their recommended service shop to avoid voiding it.

2nd question Can I find the parts I need either online or at a local retailer? If no then you are better of taking it to a service shop

3rd question Do I feel like I have the technical skill to disassemble this device make the repair and get it back together? If not take it to a service shop for repair

4th question Can the service shop give me an estimate for the repair that is less then 1/2 the value that I bought the camera for in the first place? If no.... then you might be better off buying a replacement camera

I hope this helps you

Yes you can do it but you need some tolls to do that, but its better if you take it to a service center and let them do the job to avoid any further problem with it...

Need FinePix S7000 Tripod

They [ cameras and tripods]all have a standard screw fitting.
So all cameras will fit all tripods.
The only factors therefore to consider is- weight[As it is a small digicam] you will not need a heavy weight one and the depth of your purse.

Best bet take the camera along to a store and try a few.
If it is not to be a surprise take Hubby too to try them out for himself. ;-}
