I am unable to connect to aol. Screen says invalid password. This has been going on for weeks. I have changed passwords numerous times. In the past the new one works for a few days, then the whole thing repeats. After the last change I am totally unable to connect.

Goto , control panel , classic view , internet options , then where it says delete browsing history , click delete then click delete cookies on the next window , also you can delete any other options that you want
then try again to connect

Too much password changes - better have an AOL rep reset your account.

You may have spyware that is capturing your password and then the culprit is changing it so they get your AOL account for free. Try running virus scans, spyware scans, ect. If you want some good free programs let me know. I will send a link. Then call AOL and change the password over the phone.

Check Your Keyboard Connection, Then Restart Your Computer


Checking the connections and restarting the computer will make sure the keyboard is plugged in properly and the computer is correctly recognizing the keyboard.

To check the keyboard connection and restart the computer:
1. Shut down your computer:

* If using Windows® 98 or Windows® Me, click the Start button, then click Shut Down. In the What do you want the computer to do? section, choose the Shut Down option by clicking it, then click the OK button.
* If using Windows® XP or Windows® 2000, click the Start button, then click Shut Down. Click the What do you want the computer to do? drop-down menu to open it, choose the Shut Down option from the list, click it, then click the OK button.

2. Follow the cord from the keyboard to where it plugs into the computer.
3. Unplug the keyboard cord.
4. Wait for about 30 seconds.
5. Plug in the keyboard cord.
6. Turn on your computer.

Passwords are graded from safe to not being safe and sometimes while entering your password you may have entered the wrong one several times. You need to go to the dialogue and get a numeric code on your email or mobile phone to invoke your chance to change the password

Invalid user name or password


Have you made an attempt to enter the controller using the 192.168.0.1 in the command line of your internet explorer? The numeric sequence may need to changed using 192.168.1.0 or other codes as I cannot advise which address is available to you. Once you are in the setup using adm and No password, everything else is up to you.

Was just assigned a temp password by AOL and need to change it.


AOL is a massive American internet service and multimedia company.

One of the main services that AOL provides for its users is access to a user-friendly email server. This server can be used to send and receive emails to other accounts around the world.

However, just like your keys, your wallet and the remote, passwords to email addresses can easily be lost.

When this happens, you can go onto the Internet service and retrieve your lost AOL password without having the change it.

Go to aol.com.

Find the login box on the main page.

Click on the "forgot password" link, which is underneath the login box.

Type in the user information that you do know. This will be your current email address as well as your name as it appears on the AOL billing information.

Type in the last four digits of your billing credit card for further verification.

Click on the "next" button at the bottom of the screen.

Enter an alternative email address where you can retrieve your password.

Press "submit." Retrieve your AOL password from the alternate email address you entered.

You may need to reset your password. Go to http://mail.aim.com and under the login, you will see "Forgot Password?" - click that.

Follow the instructions to reset your password.

If your password doesn't work
There are several reasons why your password might not work:
  • The password you entered isn't capitalized correctly. AIM passwords are case-sensitive, so if your password is "Password," entering "password" (note the lowercase "p") won't work.
  • (For AOL subscribers only) You've recently changed your AOL password and are trying to use your new password with the AIM service. Even if your AOL screen name is also your AIM screen name, changing the password for one doesn't affect the other.

How to open my aim messenger.password cant work.


@johnsymester: Why can't we just answer any of the security questions that we setup when we first created the AIM screen name? I don't want to create a new screen name, I want my old one back that I had since high school since all my old friends are stll on it.

If you can't remember your AOL® Password, you can easily create a new one by verifying information about your AOL® membership. Only authorized users can change passwords. You can use your AOL® screen name and password on the AIM® service as well. You no longer need a separate password to sign in to AIM®. You can also change the password for your AOL screen name when you are on AIM. If you do so, you'll need to use your new password to sign on to the AOL® service.

How Do I Reset My Password? If you can't sign on to the AOL® software because you don't remember your password, you can reset your password from the sign on screen. This procedure will work only if you are using AOL® Desktop™ for Mac®, AOL® 8.0 Plus and higher, only for those screen names that show up on the sign on screen, or if you connect with a dial-up modem.
To create a new password by using your AOL® software:
1. On the sign on screen, select the screen name whose password you wish to reset, and then click the Forgot Password? link. The software will dial out to connect to the Online Password Reset facility.
2. In the Word in Image: box, type the letters and numbers that are displayed in the image, and then click Next.
3. In the Your Answer: box, type the answer for your Account Security Question (ASQ) or provide other information required to confirm authorization, and then click Next.
4. Type your new password in both the boxes, and then click OK.
5. Click OK to close the confirmation window.
