Question about HP DeskJet 895cse InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Prints crooked My printer starts with the top lines running lower as it reads to the right, then gets straighter as the lines get closer to the bottom of the page. As if the spaceing between lines is larger on the left side of the page. Is there any adjustment for this?

I'm having trouble addressing an large envelope the printer wants to print from the upper photograph tray and not accept the envelope from the lower tray. I have the MX922 printer.

The upper tray on my 6120 has adjustable guides on either side of the document and can be set from 2" to 8.75" wide. It is not intended just for photos! I use it for ALL envelopes that will fit. I use the MS WORD "Mailings", "Envelopes", "Options", "Envelope Size" menu to tell the printer what size the envelope will be (any size not listed in the standard list can be customized from the CUSTOM option at the bottom of the envelope list). Your word processor should have something similar. Running from the tray should be a straighter run and will actually place less distortion stress on the envelope.

Use a mailing label for anything larger than 8.75". You can download a program from Avery (and probably other label manufacturers) that really makes labels simple to produce. Labels should also be run from the rear tray if possible so they won't wrap around your rollers.
Happy Printing.

My computer says that the printer is offline, it worked just fine a week ago.

Did you click on the print manager box, there is a parameter in there that will be checked if it is OFF LINE. Click on that and it will put you back on line. The easiest way to find it is to try and print something, when the little printer shows up in the lower toolbar or if you get a popup when the print failed, you will have access to that info by clicking on the box.

Media problem during printing

If the media is coimng out straight, then look at the cutter mounting.
If the cutter is slightly off angle then it can be corrected on the mounting beneath the right lower side, and the lft upper (head latch) side.

Try printing a barcode or straight line of print on the top and bottom of the label. Look at the print in relation to the cut.

If it is off , it may also be the printhead azimuth.(angle of the head in relation to the platen roller(roller beneath the head).
There is an adjustment fo tthe head to suare it up to the platen.

Last print line of any doc printed with HP J6480 is cut off

I had been experiencing this problem intermittently for some time, so I finally got a hold of HP support and with the second support technician, I did get a solution that worked for the document I was printing at the time. When Printing, click Printing Preferences, click the Advanced tab, under the Printer Features section, set Minimize margins to On. Per the technician, 'The printable area of the product increases (bottom margin 12 mm to 3 mm), so that printing closer to the edge of the paper.'

Also, he recommended using the printer's Print Preview option under same the Printer Preferences window. When I did, I did in fact see the document's bottom paper being 'cutoff' with the old settings (i.e., Minimize margins Off), with it On, it look okay.

Hope this helps. Let me know if this works for you.

Canon MX310 not printing properly

If you are running Windows XP, you should be able to go to Control Panel> Printers and see your printer. Right-click and go to properties. From there you should be able to align the print cartridges and that should fix the problem. If problem persists, contact your manufacturer.
