My Samsung freezer was nor a RB2155 it is a RS2630SH however after not making any ice because the tray was stuck in the upside down position or thereabout after 6 weeks it suddenly started making ice again, we had not done anything to it but we heard it dropping ice one evening and we had a look in the ice container and low and behold the ice box was full to the top, I would still like to know why it went like that in the first place in case it happens again it is a mystery.

I have a few ideas for things to try. On the bottom of the ice cube
holder I believe there is a spring loaded metal rod that runs from the
front of the freezer to a little indentation in the back of the freezer.
Inside this indentation there is a small plastic piece that can move up
and down to rotate the metal rod. Make sure this metal rod is free to
rotate. Sometimes it gets stuck in one position. The position of the
plastic piece inside the indent in the rear of the freezer is controlled
by a solenoid which is controlled by the buttons on the
front of the door for cube or crushed. Close all the doors and push the
cube button. Open the freezer door and remove the entire ice cube tray.
Reach to the back of the freezer and make sure the little plastic piece
inside the indent will move up and down easily. You want it to be in its
down position. Re-insert the ice cube tray. The metal rod should fit
easily into the indent in the back of the fridge. Now close the door and
see if you can get cubes. If this doesn't work I suspect the solenoid that moves the little plastic piece may need to be replaced. I hope this helps you out.
The defrost heater on your ice tray has failed, Replace the ice tray is only solution, sensors are having trouble as well due the heater problem. Does not know where it is in the cycle, also sounds like the gear on the ice maker is shot due to build up, replacing the ice maker should sort all issues out. If you cant find one, send me a email to WGHEAVEN@Yahoo.com.au and I'll send you one. Regards Russ
Have you tried using a hair dryer to defrost around the ice tray. Contrary to normal, when ice freezes it expands due to trapped air, this will expand the ice tray. If you heat it the ice will meltmaybe releasing the tray enough to push it around.
Your ice-maker may need to be "hard-reset". To do this, perform a manual-defrost by emptying out the freezer (and fridge) and shutting all power off to your unit for several hours (at least half a day unless you can be sure the temp in the freezer has fully reached ambient. Next, with freezer empty, restore power, make sure the "ice" setting is set to off, then set the forced power-freeze mode (you can refill the fridge, but leave the freezer empty for now. When the power-freeze completes (at least 2.5 hours) you can refill the freezer, set the "ice" mode to block/crushed (IE something other than off) and then hit the "black reset button" to restart the ice-maker. IF it still will not dump the cubes then the ice sensor/control board may have failed.
This is caused by the ice building up in at the back - the fan catches the ice and eventually will stop. With the fan malfunctioning the temperature will rise and the light then flashes. Keep searching the web, and you will find instructions how to remove the back and de-ice it. I had exactly the same problem 2 months ago. Make sure that it is fully de-iced, including the tray at the bottom. Ours has worked OK since!
I also had the ice tray stuck in the dump position. I unplugged it waited 5 minutes and pluged it back in. And the Ice tray moved back into the correct fill position, and the arm did drop down, But now it has not filled with any water. So now what should I try?
