You are going to have to kill the power to the range and open the control panel by removing the four 1/4 inch hex screws. These are located undernieth the control as you open the door. Then by holding the panel on each side pull out. The J-2 harness will be on the main board. The harness will run from the display board to the main board. You want to unplug the harness and plug it back in for a good connection. Of course you want to make sure the harness is not damaged or burnt. Since you had this in the clean cycle when the code came up, the temperature sensor should be checked. I'm getting conflicting information on this error code. One sections states it's the j-2 harness on the board and another section states an overtemp condition and to check the temp. sensor. If you have the expertise you can ohm out the sensor to eliminate it. At room temp it will ohm out at approx. 1060 ohms. To tell you the truth from past experience I would go with the temperature sensor first. This is the probe in the oven. Removes from the front and of course least expensive. I have two part numbers for this sensor..(typical Maytag) 12001357 and 704657. If your serial number begins with 10 it would be the first one. Catriver, post back.

Het3 Washer - F06 Code

dragon, drop the bottom panel by removing the 3 screws on the bottom, pull down and off. On the right side attached to the bottom of the door switch (on the inside) is a teardrop release tab. Pull down on it and the door will open. The F06 code is a motor tachometer error. The control is unable to detect the motor speed. While you have the panel off, check the harness that goes from the motor to the motor control board. The motor control board is the one on the bottom. Reseat the harness's for a good connection. If you can use a meter, check the motor windings, pins 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 1 to 3 should read approx 6 ohms. Next, take the top off the washer by removing the 3 screws in back and sliding the top off toward the back. The main control board is in back. Make sure all the harness's are seated good. The third harnes from the right is the motor control power, reseat it. On the left side of the board, last harness toward the back is the serial communication link. Reseat it. On the motor control board on the bottom the communication link is the one toward the bottom, the center one is the motor connector and the top one is the power supply. If this doesn't solve the problem and your motor ohms out. I would tend to believe that the motor control board is the problem. Catriver..post back.

F1 and F83 codes

Marsha, F1 is the code for a primary control failure. Since you just replaced main board check to see that all the harnesses are seated correctly. On this model I've found that if you have a pinched or blocked pressure tube,(hose going to the control board) it will give the same error code as a failed control board. Make sure it's not being pinched when replacing the consol. The F83 is the code for door unlock failure. You need to get past the main control board failure first...Catriver..post back.

Code F1

jry, F1 code for the posted model number means the element relay energized when it shouldn't of. Some one has to check the J-2 harness on the board. Reseat it. If that checks ok, you will have to replace the power relay board. Catriver...post back.
