Burner turns itself off on KESA907

I had soup simmering and saw that the burner indicator light was off. Soup also had stopped simmering. I turned it back on and within a minute or two it turned itself off again. I did this several times and it turned itself off within seconds thereafter. I know it's not just the light/light bulb. The burner actually shuts off.

Most likely the switch that controls that burner is the problem and needs replacing

SOURCE: oven door is locked

i took the grids off the burners and gently pushed a screwdiver in the gap between the top of the stove and the area where the lock is. Then i slid the lock to left. Presto! open!

SOURCE: the off button does not shut off oven for kitchenaid kgsa906

I would suggest that you both check with Kitchenaid (Whirlpool) to see if they have done some kind of extended warranty since this sounds like it may be a design flaw.

SOURCE: BUner indicator light stays when

I would suspect a failed sensor instead of the LED. A replacement may solve the issue.

Add stock and 1 1/2 cups of water, bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in watercress. Return heat to medium-high. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat again and simmer for 1 minute. Add salt and pepper to taste. This soup is typically served with lemon wedges.

Soup mate pro won't start

try powering off, removing contents from the container, refill using less contents and push the contents to the bottom plate. Turn power on. If beeping stopped it will work. Another thing to try is turning the rubber gear on the base or bottom of the container slightly then put container back on the base, as before do this while power is off at the power point for safety. Regards Greg T. My mother bought one and Ive had to step in as Im the only one to make it work. Hope this helps you. I am about to go past for the 3rd time of her using this device to see if I can help do a re-heat as she made a soup and its now not playing ball again 4 her. Forced to contact the distributor of course!

Does anyone have an easy chicken soup recipe for me?

Chicken soup is one of the easiest things to make.
Take a whole cut up chicken, remove the skin and place it in a large pot. Fill the pot with water and two large pinches of salt and one of pepper. Add 3 chopped carrots, 2 chopped cerery and some parsley. Sometimes, if I want the soup to be a little thicker I'll add a cut up potato that will dissolve and thicken the broth. Cover it and let it simmer for 3 to 6 hours.

If you got it hot enough from your soup there is a fan switch to turn the blower on to cool the unit. Maybe next time cook that on a different burner on the stove to try to not heat up that area under the microwave.

I have a Kitchenaid superba convection/gas oven model KGR1607hblg (?) I had soup overflow from the top burner and now the burners will not ignite. When turned on they will spark but nothing catches.

Make sure that all the soup was cleaned out of the little holes in the burner that the gas comes out of. You can use a toothpick or some other small object like that to try to clean them out

My burner gets excessively hot very quickly is this normal?

Hi,

That right front burner is an extremely hot burner by design. It is sold as a quick power burner. The rating on it is 12,000 btu's meaning it could easily boil a pot of soup in that time.

Here is a quote from the owners manual for your range

"There is a 12,000 BTU*
burner located in the right front position. These burners offer
higher speed cooking that can be used to quickly bring water
to a boil and for large-quantity cooking."

Use the back for slower smaller cooking and front for larger and quick heating.

I hope that helps.

The right front burner won't heat

The switch probably failed. Remove power. Take off the top rear cover and inspect the switch for signs of discoloration (burned or brown areas). If looks OK then maybe the element failed.
