LG MC07AHR and MA09AH1 do not heat!

You should always include model number in requests. More info is better. In general, there is a setting for Heat and cold on cheaper thermostats. Mine is like that. It works for heating in winter and you must switch it to "cool" for summer. I assume you do have an AC unit for summer. Who wired it up? was it ever working? Did it get installed during winter? The wiring may be wrong, there are a lot of possible ways to wire. If you are not good at that (and why would you be here if you were?) better get a tech to check it out. In the old days, Edison might send out a tech for free to advise (not fix) if there is a possibility of short (dangerous).

If the air conditioner compressor runs all the time the main control board might be defective. The main control board provides the voltage to the fan motor and compressor. These boards are often misdiagnosed. Check all other components to be certain this is the cause of the problem.

Sounds like you are over heating the compressor, try cleaning the out door unit coil. Take a hose and blow water through it, be carefull not to bend the fins.

Is this a heat pump or just straight a/c?

You should also check the outside unit to make sure the coil is not clogged with dirt or grass clippings and the fan is working. The reversing valve that switches it from cool to heat could also be a problem. If it isn't shifting it will not switch between heat and cool.

possibly a freon charge issur, or thermistor problem, in the heat mode the indoor coil has to be a certain temp. for the fan to run, if it does not reach the temp because of a low charge or a sensor that is defective, could be more complicated but usally not. Note: if it is low on charge you have a freon leak that needs to be repaired.
