How do you put a back ground on your myspace profile

This is a pretty general HTML question, actually, and there are two ways you can turn a graphic into the background for a Web page, whether it's on MySpace or anywhere else.
The first, traditional way to set a graphic as a background image on a Web page is to add the attribute background="url" to the body tag. For example, the site Media Builder.com has some free backgrounds including an attractive edge of autumn leaves. That file is known as
http://www.mediabuilder.com/mb_content/tile_leaves_autumn.gif which means that you could set that as the background to your page by using that value as the "url" in the above attribute to the body tag. It might look like this:
<body background="http://www.mediabuilder.com/mb_content/tile_leaves_autumn.gif"> To use that in MySpace, just copy and paste that line directly into your own profile box and it should work fine.
The cool, modern way to add backgrounds, however, is through Cascading Style Sheets, not straight HTML, and in that situation, you'd use code more like this:
<style type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
body { background-image: url(url) }
</style> I don't think that'll work with MySpace, however, because I am fairly certain that the MySpace editor strips out these sort of meta-inclusions. But, heck, it'd be worth trying to see what happens

New wireless router & laptop. Try to go to Facebook and end up at myspace sign-in (don't have myspace, don't use myspace). Happens when I use the bookmark, when I type it in, with Google Chrome and...

I think this is due to cookies. Google Chrome options - 1. Click on "Tools" (Spanner in the right corner under the close page X) 2. Click on "options" (11th option down) 3. Click "under the bonnet" 4. Click "content settings" 5. Keep on the cookies section. Make sure it's on "allow local data......" Click "Exceptions" 6. Type in the facebook ULR 7. Do the same (click exceptions) for all of the others BUT NOT POP UPS2_bing.gif!!! Hope I helped Dr Reed

Ugh

Same thing here. I've been trying for weeks. But here's two options I figured out.

If you have a PC and a wireless card. Uninstall it and install it. That's how I did it.

But if you don't want to take any risks, try this:

Go to www.picnik.com and click on Get Started. After it loads, you click on Library and click on "Get On MySpace" or "MySpace" then a new window will pop up. Enter your account information and the window should close by itself if you've entered the correct information. Then your pictures would show in Picnik. Open a new tab and search "MySpace Blogs". Be sure that you're log in on Picnik before searching blogs. Then click on MySpace Blogs and you should be log in onto MySpace. Click "Home" just to make sure and then you can exit www.picnik.com.

Good Luck,
karenmaynn

How to unlock the barracuda security program at my school

I guess you are not the administrator, and you want to surf without being blocked.
The barracuda blocks websites url, but it does not block by ip address.
so click on windows' start button, then click on run, type cmd and click on ok, a black window will appear, type ping google.com (it is an example, you can try with ping myspace.com .... and so on)
Then you will see a series of numbers, the ip is for example 205.75.12.48 type that in the address bar and there you go, but it does not work allways, somewebsites redirect the ip to the url and then the barracuda blocks you.

You can also look for some proxywebsites and they let you surf with out notifying the barracuda box.

Cannot login to myspace.

Probably a cookie issue. Go to your Windows Internet Explorer window, if this is what u use to surf, open Tools, Internet Options, Privacy Tab, Select Sites, Look for MySpace url in list shown or type url for MySpace( myspace.com) in box and select allow (not block). Follow instructions in this area to keep this setting, then log in to your my space. Enjoy!

Wma url's for myspace

You must note where you saved the music file. Mp3 files are easiest to upload. When you go to your page on Myspace go to edit profile. then to add song. Then It will ask for a description /name it will then ask for the file. Click on browse it will open up a dialog with your computer, locate the file you want to upload. then click upload when you are finished. It will take maybe less than an hour for Myspace to process your upload and put it on your page. Repeat this process to add additional songs

Internet

Use a proxy service to enter the sites. Use one of the following links & enter your destination URL.

2. Use Google to load the cached (usually filter free) version of a website or proxy.
example: - goto google.com, and type in demonproxy or demonproxy.com - goto the first link by clicking on cached (not the real URL link). - type in the website you’re trying to goto in the URL bar and enjoy.
example - use http://home.myspace.com (instead of http://www.myspace.com). Other prefixes to try for myspace.com: browseusers. search. invite. mail. blog. invite. favorites. forum. groups. events. viewmorepics. music. classifieds. signup. chat. vids.
4. Install Circumventor - please read instructions carefully. 5. Block-Unblock your home network.

I want backgrounds for myspace

try any of these urls:

http://images.google.com
http://www.deviantart.com

once you have found a background you like, you need to host it somewhere on the internet (you can try photobucket, flickr, imageshack, etc)

then you need to insert the code to make myspace display the background.

body {
background-image: url('http://www.domain.com/where/your/image/is/hosted.jpg');
}

this needs pasted into the "About Me" box of the edit profile page on myspace. be sure to, of course, replace the url i provided in the example with the actual url of the image you have hosted somewhere.

for more information on using the background-image css style, check here: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp

alternatively, you can take the easy way out and simple use a myspace layout generator:

http://www.google.com/search?q=myspace+layout+generator

which will take care of all of this for you.
