Solution does not dispense

The cleaning solution does not dispense but in tiny drips...then not at all. Canister is secure and is full to the appropriate line.

Omg,I bought new one of these in 2001, just found my owners manual, couldn't find a solution then saw one of these responses said pit a small drop of hot glue on grey "post" (inside black round seal after removing clean liquid tank),another used a tire valve etc etc, whatever is used must fit over that little grey post and extend slightly higher, beads with the right size hole? I used the clear heavy plastic "bristle tip protector" from one of my sable nail brushes. Pushed it on them cut off (and saved ) excess .my Hoover now works like new and dispenses liquid!!! THaNKYOU online people!

The trigger that releases the water is connected by a piece of plastic inside the handle. This plastic tends to bend over time, so it won't press the plunger high enough. I brought it to a vac repair place for the same reason and they added an extension which made all the difference. If I were to do it myself next time, I would look to see if a metal rod were possible to take the place of the plastic. Maybe not, but it would be worth a look.

Electrolux vacuum has very little suction

If you have dogs that shed, canister vacuums will always need cleaning out.. try to empty it before it's total full more often, this should prevent it from backing up so much.

I cleaned out my brush in the bottom front, cleaned out the small tubing going into the canister, and the canister itself. I also changed the filter.I snapped everything back into place, but Since then, it...

  • You want to put the cyclone in the plastic bin first and then set the two on the base of the vacuum. Them two steps are important. (see diagram)
  • Line up the front and rear guides and push down to click into place.
  • Make sure you did not loose that little black gasket on the end of the yellow cyclone. If it's not there check the trash or the hole in the vacuum where it sets.

It does not **** up the water

Could you be more specific. Is there power? Is the canister full? Do you hear the motor? Are you pull the machine instead of pushing it? Is your soap dispenser full engaged?

Belt needs fixed after sucking up a soft rug.

if its a canister model there probably is no belt just suction.open the canister and if it has a bag feel the bag ,if it feels kind of hard then the bag is full.take the tool off the end of the hose and turn it on to see if you have suction if you do then the tool is blocked up.take it to the sink and run some warm water through it and maybe use a little brush to clear out the dirt.full bag will cause your vacuum not to have suction or not as much as it should

No dispensing of water from container.

Check the bottom of the tank, there should be a gasket on the valve at the bottom of the tank. Must be on the tank and not sitting in the hole. Make sure the tank is sitting firmly and not off set even a little. Loosen the cap for the flow indictor while running, then tight when fluid starts leaking out, stop when the spinner starts spinning. Other then that you may have a clogged line somewhere.

Hi i've had the same problem Put a phial of Kal stop into 1000 or 1500ml of water into the tank, let it heat up and it should break down the limescale of the solenoid. It's worked for me. Have a good evening;-)

Hoover FloorMATE 3000 won't dispense cleaning solution.

I had the same problem with my Hoover Floormate H3000 and found the solution elsewhere on this website. Try doing a search for Hoover Floormate H3000. The posted solution is basically as follows:

Remove the liquid dispenser tank and set it aside. Look into the cavity of the machine where the tank attaches and find the plastic "plunger" piece (the one on my machine is a blue/grey color) that is surrounded by a black rubber circle. Put a small drop of hot glue on the tip of this plastic "plunger" piece and let it harden. Replace the liquid dispenser tank and try the machine again. My machine dispensed liquid properly after this fix-it.

I really appreciate the poster who provided this simple solution!
