FinePix s5700 - Memory Full Error

I've had this camera about 8 months and never have had a problem. I have a 2 gb card in it. My son (2 yrs) grabbed it off the table and snapped a few pics before we could catch him. When we checked the camera it was displaying '! Memory Full". The card shouldn't have enough on it to be full and it won't let us access the pictures for view/delete it simply says 'no images'. I tried to upload what is on the card but nothing uploaded.

I'm guessing at this point that somehow the card was corrupted. Any ideas that may clear this up or save the data on the card?

Ok i had the same problem. But what i did is,i removed the memory card used my memory card reader and format the memory card. The i turned the camera on and used the internal memory to take a photo. The i opened the memory slot and reinsert the the memory card and walla the memory full error was gone.

Pull out the card and try another to be sure the camera will still save to a card.

If you have a separate card downloader device like a Sandisk, (cheap at WallyMart), you can check the card and see if the pics are still there, and then drag and drop them into your computer from the card. The pic download software that came with the camera is not really needed, and is rather cumbersome.

Fuji finepix communication error mac

hey Sharon the only way i would imaging to bypass that problem is by getting yourself a multi memory card reader where you take out the memory card and insert it into the card reader and copy all your photos to the PC and then inserting it back into the camera. According some people its not good to use your camera as a card reader. Although it has that function.Hope this helps.

I cannot clear Protected card message from my memory cards on my s5700 model. I have tried everything, including resetting but stii does not work. Is there a problem with the camera?

Look at your memory cards. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

When i turn on my s5700 there is a message (images recorded to internal memory) then on the screen is a white box with black letters (in) i have done what the manual said and formated but it has not made...

Okay "normally" when the memory card is installed the camera reverts back to the memory card from the internal memory. Two things might be happening here one the internal memory needs to be downloaded to the memory card then saved to the computer and the internal memory card formatted. then the memory card formatted to clear those pictures. And or there is a setting switch in menu or set up that you need to manually switch from internal memory to memory card.

I know when I read this over it made scents so you might need to read it a few times to get the idea of what I'm telling you needs to be done

How can I transfer my pictures from Fuji FinePix S5700 Digital Camera internal memory to a SD card

I don't know if there is a function to do this on your camera, but on the cameras I am familiar with, there is not.

However, if what you want to accomplish is to get your pictures from internal memory into your computer, there is a way. Simply remove the memory card from your camera before connecting the camera to your computer. The computer will then see the camera's internal memory instead of the card memory, and you can copy the pictures over.

If you have been accessing your pictures by removing the card from the camera and placing it in a card reader attached to your computer, then this won't work for pictures in the internal memory. You will need to use the other method, connecting the camera to the computer with the USB lead.

How did you "erase" them?...on your computer? Have you tried inserting the card into a separate card reader and tried to download that way?

Memory Card problems

It may sound stupid and obvious but try just taking the memory card out, give it a bit of a blow/wipe and putting it back in again, worked for me when my s5700 said it had a full card or that there was some other problem with the card
