Question about Denon DN-2600F CD Player

Open Question

Older Denon DN-2000F vintage setup problem on right side CD player

I have several of these DJ CD players and always have disk setup problems on the right side CD player in the units.

I have personally replaced lasers in some of the units, but they only seem to cure the problem for a short time and then the problem reappears.

Any idea what causes the problem?

Push your "track selector knob" IN towards the unit and hold it in while pressing and releasing your STDBY/CUE button. This resets the microprocessor (kinda like rebooting) the unit. If you want to speak to me further about your 951fa, email me at chris at cueblip dot com Thanks!

Hi,

This could be a possible worn laser pick-up problem.

My jog wheel on denon dn s1000 is messsing up will not work properly

The encoder probably has dirt or dust in the pickup. Remove the wheel and clean the sensor area.

The play button on my denon DN s 1000 has fallen of and i have lost it, where would i get a replacement?

Most of these buttons are special and can only be obtained through the origianl manufacturer. You can search Digikey.com and might get lucky... it is unlikely you will find one with the right legend on it... but at least you would have the button.

I get disc error when inserting a disc into my Denon DN S700

Are you using the correct format of discs? It requires Standard compact disc (12 cm), types CD-TEXT, CD-R, CD-RW (CD-R and CD-RW disks must be finalised before using - but even then will not always be accepted) It will not work with CD+R or CD+RW
If it will not work with ANY CD (including professionally produced CDs) then the lens may need cleaning. Purchase a CD cleaning disk (a computer CD cleaning disk will work fine) pop it in the slot and hit the play button.

HI HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE DENON DN-S5000

Let me start out by saying what not to use: Don't use the cleaning CDs that you can buy. Most of those have tiny brushes on them that could scratch the optics inside your CD player and make things worse. Your Denon CD player and similar pro grade DJ CD decks are a higher precision player than the average consumer CD player that those things are marketed towards.

Your solutions are these:

  1. Find a vacuum cleaner with decent suction and use the hose attachment remove any dust or other debris that may be lodged inside the player by running the hose around the entire player (you'd be surprised where dust can lodge (and from where it can be dislodged).
  2. You can use canned air... but two caveats: Canned air doesn't necessarily move the debris and occasionally when spraying it, you get bursts of moisture with the air. Obviously moisture inside your playe would be a bad thing.
  3. Take your player to a reputable electronics repair facility and have it professionally cleaned and the optics adjusted.

I keep a microfibre cloth with me in the DJ booth and look at every CD before I put it inside my players (I have DN-S3500s) and if there's any grime, I use the cloth to remove it.

well maybe it needs to change the optical lens now. but try to adjust the variable resistor at the optical lens. I don't know if its turn to left or right.
