Poor cooling is often the result of a heavy frost build-up on the evaporator coils. You can't see these coils without removing a panel on the inside of your freezer. A sure sign that there is a build-up is the presence of any frost or ice build-up on the inside walls, floor, or ceiling of the freezer. Such a frost build-up usually indicates a problem in the self-defrosting system or damaged door gaskets...

Good luck...

Hi,

In most cases such as what you have described, the main issue is that not enough cold air is being drawn to the refrigerator side. This could be caused by:

  • evaporator fan failing to spin to speed;
  • blocked air passage way;
  • blocked cold air ports/vents;
  • defective thermostat of the refrigerator side;
  • too much food in the refrigerator;
  • some of the food stuff are blocking the air flow;
  • the compressor is cutting out early.
Please observe and do a visual inspection. You may find any of the above applicable to your concern.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Its gas is need to refill and check for the Condenser
A liquid coolant (known gas) is circulated through these coils by a compressor and a motor. If the freezes not making ice it obviously fault by Conderser coil in the freeze.

problem is probably that the evaporator is frozen up preventing circulation of air and the fan is jammed with ice.
remove the back panel inside the freezer. melt off the ice with a hairdryer taking care not to heat up any stats mounted on the pipework.
appliance will now work but this is a temporary repair. you must find out the cause of the ice build-up ie why not defrosting.
for starters, check the defrost heater and the thermal cut-out inseries with it.
let me know how you get on and what you find. make sure the fan is free to rotate.
