Want to buy earphones. What connection on the lead is needed to connect to system?

As an addition to Tom's answer:
The two main headphone connector types are the 3,5mm jackplug (the one that fits in most mp3-players and cellphones) and the 6,3mm common headphone jackplug.

HOW I CAN HAVE OUTPUT FRO AUDIO LINE ROM LG 55LH5000???

Hi, sorry but Most LG's no longer have audio outputs. The easiest way to get it ,You need to take the audio output from the source i.e. "cable box output"..if you have of course...
However whether your TV has this output or not we need to make some tests..5 different connections possibilities provided below.
(not by priority..you can start with any of it ).Below ,there is a sample TV back panel picture as well
Possible CONNECTIONS:
1) 2x RCA ports red / white is audio out ( L + R ) of TV to Stereo..
2) You can get also the audio digital output from the TV to a A/V receiver. the tv's optical audio out is stereo only mainly designed for freeview or tv audio to be output,
set the audio ouput on the TV menu to Dolby Digital, connect a digital optical out directly to the A/V receiver to receive audio signals.
3) since your TV has :2 x HDMI, SCART, AV, Component Video, VGA-sub, USB 2.0, connections, you may use the SCART plug to get Audio output for your TV .
TV's SCART connector which has 21 pins and "2x Audio Output " pins should be in it.
you need to buy an adapter called " RGB Scart Male to 3 RCA AV Female Adapter Converter" that can easily be found any electronic Market..one example as found eBay URL is below..
http://cgi.ebay.com/RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter-/130389078197
After you get this adapter, you need to carry the audio signal from SCART's RCA plugs to your Receiver with a 2x RCA (white/red ) cable.(if this does not work ,mfg should state somewhere in the manual..as your TV's "SCART socket IN only" ) if you properly connect IN/OUT plugs you will able to get the audio signal of the TV thru stereo..I recommend 2 $ value "RGB-Scart-Male-3-RCA-AV-Female-Adapter-Converter" with IN/OUT switch on it.
4) use HDMI connection of TV if you have HDMI input on your stereo of course...
5) if these are not an audio-out on one of these connectors , so you'll need to use the headphone socket if you want to plug it into a stereo. you need a cable 2x RCA to 3.5mm Headphone jack.
( This is the last ditch solution , since it mutes the whole sound.) ..
NOTE: if you connect this, pls be careful, your TV voice level will drive the stereo volume....

Hope this helps!..if more help requires Would you please let me know the result ?
Take care and please

Hi. I've just hooked up my 3500S to a new Samsung

Hi
  • Make sure your SCART cable is fully cabled...for IN and OUT connections..
some SCART plugs works one way..I recommend to replace it with another one at least for testing..
  • Second option, buy an SCART to RCA/S-video adapter and use that one for "s" connection..
here is an example of SCART TO COMPONENT & S-VIDEO adapter on the URL below..

Scart leads don,t go in to back of tv

The Samsung HDTV you refer to is a North American model and is not designed to accept Scart (European) connectors. However, you may be able to connect your component by using a Scart to RCA adapter. This will allow a Scart component to connect to the HDTV if you get the proper adapter with yellow video and white and red audio RCA connectors which will indeed plug into the HDTV. Look around on the web for cables and adapters like the example here:
http://www.svideo.com/scart.html
It would look something like this:

What do i need to play back recorded video onto my t.v from my sony handycam dcr-trv260...i have s cord, usb cord, yellow rca jack??? so what else do i need!!!...nothing i have tried has worked???please...

You can connect this camera to a suitable TV with either the S-Video lead or the RCA lead, but only if the TV is equipped with the appropriate inputs. The S-Video lead looks like a tiny DIN plug, and the RCA jacks are three separate plugs coloured red, white and yellow (yellow is composite video, red and white are left and right stereo sound). If you use S-Video you will also need to make a separate connection for sound (using the red and white RCA connectors). Sometimes the TV sound input is a mini stereo jack, and you will need a Y connector to adapt the two RCA connectors to the mini jack, or maybe the camera's sound output is also by mini jack, in which case you may need the reverse Y connector. Most TVs have some way of accepting a video signal, but you may already be using it for a DVD player or the like.

If your TV lacks these connections, you may be able to use an adapter. In the UK, most recent TVs have a SCART (Peritel) socket, which takes a big plug with 21 connections on it. You can get an adapter to fit that socket that will allow you to plug in the RCA connectors and maybe the S-video too. I don't know what country you are in, or what adapters are available in your country if it isn't the UK.

Once you have made the connections, you must select the appropriate input on your TV. The other possible hiccup is setting the camera to the right video standard, NTSC or PAL., to match that used by your TV.

The USB cord will not connect your camera to the TV.

Inlcuded with the LC40LE821E is an adapter to allow you to fit your scart lead to the tv. You should have had this in the box along with a av cable and a RGB component cable.

I have a 47'' phillips lcd flat screen, will my tuner work without using cable box(timewarner) and still pickup all the channels

If the TV tuner has digital connection with HDMI, or th white red and yellow connectors for RCA cable, it will work with the new TV.

If the tuner has only coax round antenna-like connector, then it will not work with TV tuner.

Many new TV also do not have scart cable connector, but adapters Scart to RCA are available.

Where can i get an external antenna adapter to fit my tv/dvd from

Well I thought I had one of the mini-jack to F type connector cables ordered but then it became Discontinued at PacParts.com. However, if Radio Shack still carries those F-connector to mini-mono earphone plugs then with another F-type Quick Connect you can make one with a length of RG-*.*/U cable with F-type screwon male connectors. Almost every one has some of those cable or satellite pieces laying around or stored and with proper adapters can fashion one for their portable TV's.
