You can download the audio and device drivers for your model laptop from the Toshiba WEB site from their download page. Make sure you enter the model of your laptop so you can get the correct drivers. My toshiba laptop satellite A55-S326 wont boot. Only can use the escape key then go into bios but still doesn't boot. Tried my recovery disc & it goes thru the instal but then still goes to a blank...

Your install discs are bad. Please don't shoot the messenger. Call Toshiba for new discs. Here is the number (it took me 30 minutes to find this. Please give me a 4-thumbs-up rating. If you don't, I spent time away from family for free).

When I turn on my Toshiba A55 laptop nothing boots up

you system is experiencing a no POST power-on self test, meaning your system board is not responding but since you you mentioned that you hear a beeping alarm I guess it sounds like a fire alarm in a way te only possible cause of that would be a faulty processor on your laptop and needs to be replaced.

You will need to call Toshiba's tech support line and get a new disk. Be careful to get the correct disk. I had them send me the wrong one once and I was frustrated for days.

Keyboard on lab top

Hi again, Steven,

It sounds like the "film" under your keys may have been the victim of a rainy day :-)
- Or just worn out, it’s only a thin film, and if you use the keyboard like an old typewriter, then :-)
If you are not familiar with how to take your laptop apart, I´d suggest that you have someone to put in a new film for your keyboard.
It will typical cost you one hour plus the film, about $20.

Regards
Teis

No boot No fan noise no display but lights come on

Somethings has happened to your motherboard, CPU and/or hard drive somewhere along the line if it wont power up when you hit the power button and this would explain the reason for no activity. When a motherboard fails, no activity will happen at all, so Im putting my money on your motherboard being defect so take it in for a service and you may have to buy a new laptop since repairs can be costly.

Busted keyboard

You may need to replace it. I believe I answered you on how to remove it with your other questions, however, before you go replacing the board, make sure that the ribbon cable that connects it to the motherboard is properly connected and has no visible damage.

How do i remove the keyboard

Usually you can remove the panel right above the keyboard, this will allow you to access the keyboard screws. The keyboard should swing up allowing you to unplug and remove it.
