Hi, thank you for answering me =^-^=
My Os is windows xp pro sp3 as for my firewall and antivirus it from my provider Videotron security services (Radialpoint Inc. Version 6.0.0.29609)

The thing is my LCD monitor makes a clicking sound i have tried it on my son computer and it does the same it won't open only does the clicking sound and the power light flashes. I tried a other power cable and now my screen open when i plug it directly in the wall but the color is messed up.

My power supply is a Antec smart power 2.0/450 watt this morning i saw that the back fan of my psu wasn't working but the one inside on my psu was working i found it kind of weird but then i went in the bios to check system health and cpu and motherboard temperature was ok.
Thank you so much for your help i really appreciate it =^-^=

Some update: as for my power supply it all good it a dual fan design and I've read it normal that the external fan starts, stops and adjust it speed in response to system temperature, while the internal fan has a temperature sensor that regulates the fan speed.
Thank again for your help =^_^=

May be the SMPS main power supply unit for PC is faulty. Also try to run a checkdisk for whole system hard disk.
Let me know the OS, firewall and antivirus installed on your PC - to get narrow down the problem and solve it.

Yes, monitor are hard to repair and if the problem is internal such as clicking noise or color loss/mess-up, then it is better to go for a new one. You can email me if you need further assistance at techin.scott atthe gmail

Hcl monitor

Hi

Slap or Tap the monitor to see if it\'s a mechanical or connector type problem.

Does it happen when left alone or nobody near?

Change the AC Plug to another outlet or on a different phase.

Noise on incoming AC lines is usually removed by a Toroid filter inside the unit. But low voltage or brown outs can cause weird faults in logic circuits.

If you suspect interference from an external source then a piece of Aluminium or Tinfoil connected to a ground pin might shield external noise around the monitor. There is a lot of electromagnetic noise in households these days with WiFi, BlueTooth, 3G, and microwaves etc.

Depending on what you find above....I would perhaps check inside for cock roach residue between components. Sometimes they gather in this warm environment and their droppings can short chip legs together to cause weird problems.

(I had a Sony bedside clock/radio that has an LCD screen & the iPhone connects to it to show photos & play music etc. So it was expensive & I didn\'t want to discard. The Clock had been showing 2009 for the last 9 months & it could not be reset from the controls or battery removal etc. It was starting to annoy me. So, I opened up the unit to inspect & noticed a small gunky spot near the pins from a IC Chip. Similar to solder flux but it wasn\'t, It was probably insect crap. Once I cleaned this out the unit returned to working condition.)

Take the back cover off and inspect.

Check for cold solder joints & moisture / condensation and leaky electrolytic capacitors (Bulge on Top of Cap) & touchy connectors.

Use a paint brush to clean or a tooth brush for stubborn junk.

CAUTION.. The switch mode AC Power Supply area can be lethal but all other areas in LCD monitors are now low voltage 5-12v DC.

Hope this Helps

Cheers

My dishwasher won't drain properly. The pump has been making a weird sound for a month or so and last night it couldn't drain. It starting beeping and the pump was running. I cleaned the drain filter

If the pump is running but noisy then that indicates a loose pump impeller (new pump I am afraid) if running (no noise) but failing to remove water, then I would be checking that drain hose is clear, or even that your machine is not syphoning water from waste disposal, a quick check would be to disconnect waste hose from waste disposal and see if it will then drain into a bucket, hope this is helpful.

Makes a weird noise when you turn the ignition to start. It has been doing this for a couple of weeks and now won't start.

That weird noise is starter gear clashing with the flex plate gears, change the starter and hope it works.

On Monday evening I thought someone was setting off firecrackers. Got up and into the kitchen and realized it was the refrigerator. Opened both freezer and refrigerator doors, still cold but a soda...

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

If your refrigerator is running but warm, then…

Check out this tip that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...

My printer is making a weird noise and the power light just blinks

Turn off the Printer
open the Front access Door, Check if there is bits of paper or dirt on the ROD that moves the Cartrige/carriage.
Move the Carriage freely 5-6 times from left to right ( it should move smoothly )
Remove the Cartridges, Clean the contacts on the Cartridge ( golden Contacts)
Open the Rear Access door, Clean the Rollers with lint free cloth.
Close the Rear access door and front door
Power on the Printer. If the grinding noise continues, Unplug the power cable from back of printer ( while printer is on ) and while holding the # and 6 button, connect it back.
It should go thru alignment process and the grinding noise should be gone. If it doesnt, probably.. its time for new printer of HP again.

Making virbrating nose

believe it or not, most noises that start and end and start again are sometimes very easy to fix. next time you hear it open the refrigerator doorand see if your ears can pick up the sound. usually it is two bottles in the panel of the door vibrating against each other. if not thencheck your fans especially the condenser fan next to th compressor, something may be caught in the fan blade. unplug unit if you find noise and give the coils a good cleaning while you are down there anyway. let us knowhow you did
