Canon MF7280 Touch Screen Shifted

The touchscreen on my Canon MF7280 has shifted and I cannot access the System Monitor button

    There is no error message associated with this problem. Now instead of touching the buttons on the screen I need to touch the screen about a half inch below and to the right of each button. Is there any way I can recalibrate the touch screen?

    Resetting the copier to default failed to correct the touch pad. Now, I cannot restore file path names for the send feature to work because the "-" key isn't accessible because of the shift problem.

You do not need to buy a new touchscreen, there is a calibration procedure, even if you replace the touchscreen you will need to do calibration the same. If you can touch commands but they are moved, the touchscreen is fine.

    The touch screen is working, otherwise you cannot press button at all.

    It is out of calibration.

    To setup the calibration you need to enter in service mode.

    In service mode you get a calibration menu where you move the touch screen until button are back in place.

    DO NOT BUY ANY PART. The screen is fine.

    If you want to do it yourself buy the service manual.

    If you want to call a technician use the number listed on the owner manual.

The touch screen of your unit needs to be replace, because its already faulty and without it you wont be able to use this printer....

Try unplugging the printer from power source for about a minute and replug.

Should the issue still persist, I would recommend not touching anything else, and contact Canon Support, as this is an expensive printer.

Can you post a photo ? Does the shifting look like all image moved and there's a blank space on where it should be or the whole LCD is covered and just need some scrolling to access a certain function ?

    Touchscreen Display controller needs to replaced/serviced. Calibration settings are done in the factory.

    Have it serviced by Canon. It's a three-part piece to make it work. The display controller, the touch screen itself or it might be only the ribbon cable connecting the two components mentioned.

If it is an android phone, there is usually a way to access the settings by pulling down the window shade from the top. If your click-point is moved up you might be able to get there. Also. Try a restart or reset of the phone.

How to enable touchscreen ?


You can use touch screen only if your monitor is touchscreen enabled by factory default!And one more thing you must have a touch enabled operating system. (eg :Windows 8)

Troubleshooting


There is a setting on the computer screen, it will say vertical and horizontal shift, There is buttons on the monitor to get to the menu to get to screen shift settings.

LG GS290 touchscreen problem I have a LG GS290 and the touchscreen has partly frozen. It seems to shift everything to the right, so when you touch 1 it activates 3. Really really annoying as you can't...


Have same problem but only shifted 1 to right ie 2 = 3 and cant use left hand keys and cant re calibrate. Turning off for a while sometmes helps but problem returns

My entire monitors display was shifted to the right (half is off screen) when I accidently pressed the auto select button instead of the off button (on the monitor) how can I get it back to where it should...


mcdevito75 here, I just hit Menu on my monitor and saw a square box with a cross in it. I fiqure this means to center the picture on the monitor, try it, or turn the monitor off, then on again and hit auto on the monitor. Hope this helps.

It sounds like you just shifted the whole display over. I don't know how your monitor works exactly, but you should be able to use the buttons to navigate through a simple menu system, and either pan the display back to the left, or just reset to the default settings...

Entire image shifted


Press the Select/Auto button. The monitor will then automatically adjust to match the incoming signal and will save that setting in the internal memory of the monitor.

CANON IMAGERUNNER 330S TOUCHSCREEN


Start with service mode, Additional functions(looks like * key), then 2,8 together, then addit. func. again. Has to be a fluid motion. If done right you will see a screen with copier, and whatever options the copier has. Hit copier key. Hit function key. Hit panel key. Hit touch key option, hit OK. Then touch the nine + signs. once complete. press reset to get out and test results. Hope this helps.

Horrizontal line in bottom of screen shifted the whole screen up


if your monitor has a reset button, press and hold it for 3 to 10 seconds.
