I have a 50 in Vizio Plasma HDTV. The screen is solid balck on the left 1/3 of the screen. I have confirmed that it is not the signal source. I have reest the TV, let it sit un-plugged for 24hrs, left it on for 5. Please let me know if you have a solution for this issue.

Vizio Tech support was contacted and they determined that the problem would need assistance from a certified repair shop. Vizio gave me a # to call, which I did and they only repair systems 42in or smaller.

When you get that on a plasma it means that there is a faulty built in chip in the signal cable.

    That is a cable problem.
On a plasma, the cable that carries the signal, and hook up to the screen has a built in chipset.

When the on cable chip is faulty you get the screen with black signal, from the point where the cable is connected onward.

Similar problems can also be caused by a faulty sustain card, in this case the no raster area will start from the point were the sustain card is hooked to the plasma display.

Why does my Vizio 50" plasma tv not capture the video signal? It keeps poping in and out till it warms up and then it will finally hold the signal.

Be sure that your signal is strong enough coming through the HDMI or coax. If your signal is strong enough, it may actually be your TV's power supply needing to warm up.

My 50in P50HDTV10A 50 in. HDTV Plasma Television soundscomes on but no pic please help

I'm not an expert with plasma's but I repaired a 42" version of your set. It was a faulty Y sustain board. I would start with checking the fuses on the Y sustain (should be on the left side of the set under the steel cross member) and on the Z sustain( right side of the set).

Multiple vertical white lines

hi,
As you mentioned its sounds like the X buffer (Right and left) of your tv is faulty. There are two boards in your tv for driving the X plane of the plasma panel. Normally you can find these board on the top or bottom portion of the TV. . Its part numbers are Right buffer board is 6870QSC107A 6871QRH073A and Left buffer board i EAX35683901 EBR35855501. Before purchasing the boards identify which board is faulty. That you can find easily. Check which portion of the screen have vertical line in right or left side of the panel. The board for that side is faulty.
You can find these boards on the following link.

I have a Vizio P50HDM which will seem to turn on but It displays a small blue rectangle in the center of the screen with the message: "No Signal" I have tried pressing the input button but same message....

Your TV isn't detecting a signal on any input. You can have a bad connecting cable, or a defective source unit, (cable box, satelite reciever, DVD player....). Those are just a couple of possibilities, but a good place to start. Good luck.

42 in lcd vizio "no signal"

if the TV have a no signal sign which means most of the important part is missing. Try checking your connections. The best way is to hook up a dvd player using AV input (the yellow, red and white). make sure that you turn the device on and whatever input you connected the device to is selected. if your TV is a P50HDM model, the TV will shut itself off after a short period without and input connected.
