Packard Bell Easynote - not powering up

I know the power supply is ok as there is a pink light on next to the on/off button.
Can you help - I don't have my work backed up anywhere.
Thanks
Kerry

    Hi
I've tried that but it hasn't made any difference - tried different plug sockets around the house too. The on/off button flashes blue when I switch it on - it usually does this when there is no power getting to it - this time there definitely is!!
Do you think the pink light is significant as when there is no power, it is usually blue.
    Thanks for your time
    Kerry

It's on the laptop itself. The light on the power adapter is green as it always is.

Thank you for your help - much appreciated

If this is a notebook , hold the power button down for about 6 seconds to make sure this is not just in hibernate. Make sure it is plugged directly into the wall power outlet , not a power strip.
Some laptops have a power increase when plugged into the wall and less when running off batteries.

are you speaking of the light on the power adapter or the light on the laptop?

Bought a Packard Bell Onetwo L5851 yesterday. Unable to switch it on....Blank screen with a few lights below, thats it . Nothing responding.

I have a similar problem with a Packard Bell OneTwo S PG4G1TU01 : when switching it on, it work a few minutes and suddenly shutdown, as a brutal power down. But the green light at the bottom still working. I have changed the extern power supply and now it work fine... The new power supply is a 90W model, not a 65W like the original one. Maybe it can help ?

Packard bell ipro yellow flashing light

Huh! Sounds like a power issue. Unplug, try cleaning out the guts in case something got in there, and retry, and again with a spare power supply if things are still bad. It would help to know whether something other than the power supply's clicking, I suppose....

Some one has given me a Packard bell easynote C 3300, ive plugged it in the power supply but all i get is a flashing orange battery light, what is happening please

try takeing out the battery and then try pluging the main power back in and see what happens. if the orange light goes away that means your battery is no good.

thanks
hope this works for you

Sounds like a power supply. the power supply in the tower may have overheated or burned. Does the fan in the power supply come one?

Hello - wondering if you can help - my packard bell U TOW-SAN computer gave a huge bang yesterday - blew the house fuse. When switched on again - it gave another huge bang and now refuses to switch...

Definitely the power supply. However, it could have damaged the motherboard as well but you won't know until you replace the power supply.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.
