There must be one or two circuit breakers, usually at the back of the dryer, check them out.

If this does not fix the problem, then possible faults are the thermistor or the heating element.

Most likely you will need to have the heating element replaced.

If you decide to call a technician you can use the phone number listed on the owner manual.

You can find parts and diagrams here.

Indesit IS70C tumble dryer not heating

This caused by one of two possible things. Either you have poor air flow, or a clogged vent preventing air from flowing freely and therefor making the dryer short cycle, which in turn will take you two or three times to dry yor clothes, or the heating element has gone bad, burnt in half and is making contact with the case to provide it just enough power to barely heat. The second thing is a very rare occurance. I would turn the dryer on, find out where the air vents out to, and with the dryer running, go to where it vents and check to see if there is a strong flow of air. 9 times out of 10 that is going to be your problem. Another way to check air flow is to just pull the vent off the back and let the dryer run and see if your clothes dry faster. If you do it that way and they still take a long time to dry, then you'll probably need to replace the heating element

I have an indesit IS60V tumble dryer and it's no longer drying my clothes even though the dryer tumbles fine. I have checked the filters to ensure they are clean and the vent hose which all appear ok.

My indesit tumble dryer is turning and looks like it is working but there is no heat? Is it the thermostat or heating element? Please help have a tonne of washing to get dried!

Could be either, or a combination of both, the only way to be sure, is to test the element and stats with a meter, but only do this if you have electrical knowledge and a meter, and feel competent to do this.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Ive got a Indesit WIDL102 washer dryer and it will wash but will not dry any longer. It goes through the cycle but the clothes come out wet. Any suggestions???

This problem is normally caused by either the thermostats not working properly or the heating element is the problem.
Both are normally located in the air tube of the dryer down stream of the blower.

Indesit Washer/ Dryer 1200

A lot of times when people move they find their dryer has suddenly stopped working. Check the voltage at the outlet, make sure it matches the voltage on the i.d. plate on the appliance. I know people who didn't want to fuss with it and bought a new dryer only to find it did the same thing.

Hi, My Indesit WIDL 102 is faulty. It washes OK, But does not dry at all. I dont think it heats up during the drying time, but the drum does turn round. Is there a thermal reset switch on the inside...

I don't know your dryer model, but I assume it is electric. Electric dryers have a heater coil like a toaster which eventually wears out and doesn't get hot anymore. This is typical and is likely the case especially if your dryer is old or has been used alot. Has the dryer been taking longer and longer to dry before it lost all heat? If so, I bet it is the heater coil.
