My washer is filling with water, then refuses to move to the next cycle. It does not attempt to move, there is no noise of any kind indicating that it is trying. I have manually moved the dial to each cycle and get no response. No draining, no agitating, no spinning, no sound, no nothing.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Based on the symptoms you are describing, please confirm that the house valves are fully turned on. Otherwise, typically, faulty switch does not allow the valve inside to turn or a kinked fill hose. Other possibilities of more potential serious issues are water valve faults, faulty control board, pressure switch or wiring failure. If I was in your position, I will personally consult a professional to move forward accurately and assist with the repairs.
Check to hose to the water level control. It goes from the outside of the tub up to the control which is located in the same area as the timer. It's usually round with the end of that tube and at least 2 wires connected to it. Disconnect the hose and blow air through it. Reconnect and try again. Still no fill, try filling with that tube disconnected. Watch it the entire time as with the tube off the water should not stop. If it fills all the way with the tube off the water control unit has a problem.
Hi ,, ok lets try some fault finding,,, try putting the washing machine on a no or low temp programme like wool,, or even the fill empty spin , see if it moves then,, if the programmer moves through then spins, i would assume the thermostat is broken,, if it moves through but does not spin , it may be the heating element,, if it does not move at all in any programme i would assume the programmer has a problem
The drain hose is too low and the water just runs right out...The highest point of the drain hose needs to be higher then the top of the washer before it goes back down into the drain. Also if the hose is sticking into water it can create a siphon which pulls the water out of the washer... make sure that you also have an air gap...
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
maytag washer dryer stack unit , model # lse7806ace washer fills with water but won't agitate or do anything else. I had the same problem a year ago and replace the lid switch asssemby and fuse and it worked fine until now. the switch clicks when I open and close the lid and the pink and orange wires show continuity with the lid closed.
