    White screen on itouch.

I have tried the reset, the timed 10sec/10sec reset and Itunes Restore (twice). Nothing has worked so far. Will take it to Apple Store. IF no help , how do I return to Apple for refund/replecement?

Restore through iTunes 8 if you can...
If you have to do something more dramatic, try resetting it to factory shipping mode.
Hold the Home & Power buttons for 10 seconds, then release the Power button, but continue holding the Home button for another 10 seconds. This must be timed perfectly so use a clock.
If you'd like help, call me.

If hard resetting and restoring it doesn't work you have a broken LCD screen. There is an iPod touch repair website that shows you how to replace the screen yourself.

My ipod is frozen with a white screen, I cannot turn it off and it is not responding to anything. Can anyone please help

Welcome to Fixya

This problem is called the white screen of death. To solve this, you should press the Home button and the Power button together for about 30 - 40 seconds. This process is called hard reboot. You can also try to restore the factory settings by plugging the device to you computer and restore it using itunes.

Thank you

Hi there my daugters ipod touch 8gb screen gone white and does not respond when you press the screen

You may need to reset. Important: Only reset your iPhone or iPod touch if it is no longer responding. To reset, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

White screen !!

Completely white? No icons or "sad" ipod symbol?

Static buildup will make the ipod screen pale white/grey. If it were a black screen, I'd say update and reformat but static kills the unit.

Zen screen stays white

The white screen of death is due to a hardware failure in the LCD screen and the only way to fix it is to replace the screen itself. You can find a screen and repair services at www.TheGadgetDr.com

1 Toggle the Hold switch on and off (set it to Hold, and then turn it off again).
2 Press and hold the Center and Menu buttons for at least 6 seconds, until the
Apple logo appears. this resets the ipod
