I have a Whirlpool ultra care ii and the tub filled with water and then just stopped. I tried to reset the breaker and that is not the issue. I also tried to unplug and replug it to trigger it but nothing seems to work. I have tried to different cycles but the machine is not triggering to send a message to the controls. Is there a reset button or something I am not trying?

If this only happens when the machine is turned on,the tube from the tub to the water level switch is pinched or broken. If the clear plastic tube is not pinched or broken, the water level switch in the control console is bad. If the machine lets water through when it is in the OFF position, the water valve where the hoses connect are bad.
PRESSURE SWITCH Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.
Water inlet valve
If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.
start to fill the washer, then turn it off,if water still keeps filling you have a bad inlet water valve,if it stops then check the water level water hose from the water level switch to the side of the outer tub-mike
Sounds like there's a water level sensor problem. The water level sensor works by reacting to the air pressure in a tube connected to the tank. You need to open up the control panel. You may need to remove some screws, but on some machines you can "pop it" by prying it up with a putty knife. You'll find that the water sensor is the back of the knob that controls the water level. If it's a digital machine the sensor will be somewhere else but connected to a clear plastic tube. The first thing you should check is to unplug the tube from the sensor, and blow in it to make it's not just clogged with lint. If the tube flows freely, you'll need to replace to the water level sensor. This is pretty easy to do.
Hi, could be faulty timer, faulty water level switch, faulty start capacitor for motor, or faulty motor. always put clothes in machine before starting. you can empty machine by lowering drain hose to flow level.
is it filling filling filling and not stopping. or will it fill and stop when it is supposed to. if it's fill fill filling could be a hole in the pressure hose or a faulty pressure switch. but if itt does all the cycles and is leaking you probably have a bad pump tip the unit back a little so you can see under but do not tip all the way you will see the pump. see if it leaking if so replace tha pump.
try turning the mach off while it is spinning and filling.if it continues to fill or drip heavy, the mixing valve is not closing completely and needs to be replaced.if the water stops when the mach is turned off, there is a problem with the pressure switch.
Is your drain hose lower than the top of the cabinet?? The curved part of the drain hose needs to be slightly higher than the top of the cabinet. Also, the drain hose must have an air gap around it where it goes into the house drain. It sounds to me like your washer is syphoning water out through the drain hose as it is trying to fill. Hope this helps..............
