Jry, F1 code for the posted model number means the element relay energized when it shouldn't of. Some one has to check the J-2 harness on the board. Reseat it. If that checks ok, you will have to replace the power relay board. Catriver...post back.

f your 2008 Maytag double oven's lower door is locked, here are some steps you can try to unlock it:

Press Cancel/Off Key: Start by pressing the Cancel/Off key. Wait for 20-30 seconds, then try to open the door. Sometimes this simple latch reset can do the trick.

Power Cycle: Turn off the power at the circuit breaker or fuse box for one minute. After that, turn the power back on. Allow the oven to cool for approximately 30-90 minutes, and then move the latch arm to the left to unlock the door.

Self-Clean Cycle Interruption: If the door locked during a self-clean cycle, select the "Self Clean" option, and then choose "Cancel". Wait a couple of minutes, and then try to start the cycle again. If the self-clean cycle was started by mistake, press the Cancel/Off key. The oven will need to cool to around 200°F (95°C) before the door can open.

I turned on my self cleaner oven this morning and it started beeping and flashing F1. The only way I could stop it was to push the cancel button which of course turned it off

Based off what you have described your Frigidaire range is providing you with an error code of F1 after you started a self-cleaning. The error code "F1" stands for a runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If you continue to have issues with the F1 error code I would recommend having a professional technician out to your home for proper diagnosis and replacement of any electrical components. What does the error code F1 indicate, on a Wolf Oven?

I had the same problem with a Wolf L-Series double wall oven (Model DO30) and called for service (under extended warranty contract). The tech told me that the F1 error is a latch problem (you know the one that grabs and locks the door during self-clean cycles). He cleared the error using a series of "secret" button presses on the control panel and the problem cleared. Now, when it happens (which isn't very frequently), I do the same thing he did ... press "0" and "Temperature" for the oven causing the problem and hold them for about 5 seconds. The oven will ding and the display will show some diagnostics, including the error event. Press "Cook Time" and "Stop Time" while in this diagnostic mode to clear the error register, then press "Off". I've also tried to keep the area across the top of the oven opening clean (with a little degreaser), especially around the latch, and I've sprayed a bit of WD-40 into the latch periodically for lubrication and cleaning.
