Jonsered chainsaw

I also have a Jonsered and especially in the below zero cold weather lately, it is tough to pull! I have to use much more effort to pull it over, enough that I'm afraid that I'm either going to pull the rope out of the recoil or do some other damage. If that's the case with yours, about the only thing I can suggest would be to keep it in a warm place.
The old saws from say 40 or more years ago (I had a Homelite C-60?), seemed really tough to pull over ..... and they were. But, on those, the rope would come out several inches before the recoil engaged. That would give the user a little momentum to pull it over.

With all that said, and if the saw is in good operating condition, try keeping it warmer when storing it. Although we have been below zero a lot lately, every year I feel how much harder it is to pull as the temp gets colder in the fall.

Good luck!

My chainsaw starts up and the engine is racing works for 30minutes then cuts out

Have you cleaned out the air filter lately? If all tune ups have been done you may be running too lean, there should be adjustment screws to make a bit more rich, you will have to play with it and listen to the sound to get the best results.

Most likely yes. It will look like a car oil filter. It looks like a round can that is screwed to the engine.

I am in the middle of a complete remodel of my bathroom, tore down to the studs. Much of the work has been done with my Clark Crododile saw and it is quickly becoming my favorite tool. The wife bought it...

Have you contacted Sears? They handle Croc saws. That's where I'd check for immediate replacement. If you can spare a few days try Northern Tools - these guys are TOP Shelf when it comes to tools.
