I have a really old edu-science binocular microscope set in a kit with many things to do but I don't have a manual telling me how to use everything in the kit. I can't find a model number.

I doubt if you will find a manual - if you can supply a list of the items in the kit, I'll endeavour to offer some advice, based on my school biology lessons of some fifty years ago !

Water pollution, what happens to the water, animals in the water?

I would suggest two options.
1) Call your local school (elementary, middle , or high school) and ask a biology or science teacher.
2) Go to your local library and look this information up in a book, video or DVD.
God bless your efforts.

What do you like and do not like about biology

This sounds like a test question, that only you can answer.

Biology is the science otherwise known as what makes living things alive. If you wanted to be a doctor, or police technician, or a farmer, biology will be very important. Since biology is about learning what makes living things alive, and since living things constantly change, the knowledge of biology will also need constant use and improvement. Doctors, dentists, and dermologists rely on their knowledge of biology to determine whether their patients can undergo various procedures for their health. Police technicians rely on knowledge of biology to develop microscopic physical evidence to solve crimes, and develop better detection tools to defeat clever criminals. Farmers need to know how to treat a fungal attack in crops and livestock, and buyers of their products need to know about soil and environmental conditions in the growing area. Astronauts, athletes, actors and soldiers need to be protected from contaminating agents and conditions that take advantage of new environments to cause illness.

It all starts with long classes in the details of what makes cells, bacteria or viruses tick, with lots of terminology. Whether you like biology or not for its own sake, the your liking will probably be based on your goals, what do you want to do? Knowledge of biology can be applied in many careers, and as long as you have that goal in mind, the long boring classes will soon be exchanged for a meaningful living.

So it's back in your court. Good luck and congratulations for choosing a fine career.

Define biology

You can find a nice definition here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biology

According to bing's dictionary:
1. science of life: the science that deals with all forms of life, including their classification, physiology, chemistry, and interactions 2. life in one place: the forms of life in a particular environment and their behavior, development, and history "the biology of desert regions" 3. particular organism's makeup: the structure and functioning of a particular organism "the biology of the fruit fly" [ Early 19th century.
