Question about PC Desktops

1 Answer

I have a KWORLD PLUS TV HYBRID PCI (DVB-T 210SE) TV card which I used on my previous PC running Windows XP. I have bought a new PC running Windows Vista and have installed the TV card. I also installed MCE Encoder at the same time (maybe I shouldn't have done). When I scan for analogue channels the application seizes up and I got a warning red box saying "Scheduled agent setting file is corrupted... (2006)" I then got a box headed Analogue TVR which said "Invalid floating point operation". I have tried uninstalling card and MCE encoder (which won't uninstall all files as it says they are locked). I've installed the TV card again but still can't scan channels. Can you help?

I had the invalid floating point error..this only happened after I installed vista service pack 1 on my vista x64 machine. After much hunting around I used the following tuner software which seems to have resolved the problem (still using the v1.3.3 driver).

I am using the chrisTV lite version which is free and seems to have got rid of the problem. I hope that helps.

Onboard VGA port disabled, in Vista

You should try to disable it in the hardware list.

E-machines have an odd bios where not all the functions of the motherboard are available to the user.

If you can find the make and model of your board there is a good chance you can find the PROPER bios for it.

Emachines use motherboards from a variety of regular motherboard suppliers

My older e-machine has a hacked bios so that I can alter ALL the settings.

Hi, I have added a USB 2.0 4 port PCI card to my PC, when I run the support disc to add the driver it says no hardware found. All the instructions say are plug in the card and run the disc, is there...

Dear Friend,

If you have windows xp, generally when you add new hardware. Windows does show found new hardware window, where you can select the driver for your new hardware.

Go to control panel=> Add new hardware & then select the appropriate drivers for your card.

Hope this solves your problem.

You must uninstall your previous video card drivers before installing the new card, especially if they were nVidia drivers.
