-   My DVD player gives message "No Disc" most of the time and it does not play any disc once it showed the message. But if starts playing upon opening, there will be no problem playing any disc.-   Guest
You have one of a few problems, One the spindle motor or the spindle motor circuit is bad. The laser assy is defective, as all cd/DVD players must focus on the disc before it will spin, or the platter or "hat" is off or out of alighnment. Most of these problems will not be worth repairing, as the cost of repairs will exceed the cost to replace. Good Luck

"Cannot play disk" upon inserting any disk; player seeks to no avail. This happens on all disks. Took the player apart, felt the motor. Feels like it's got a bad bearing, and when I started the disk up with my finger, it buzzed like bad bearings do, and stopped playing at different intervals because it just couldn't keep it up. This player is maybe 6 or 7 years old. I'm honestly disappointed that modern electronics don't last longer than this. I've got cd players from the early '80s that still work fine.

After working great for years, my dvd player suddenly won't turn on. When I press power, the player emits a short "ehhnnnn!" sounding buzz/beep, and the light switches back quickly from green to red. It won't turn on, the dvd won't eject, etc. So far I've tried replacing the fuse, but now I'm all out of ideas and could use some help. Thanks!
