I have not found a book yet with accurate values on Coleman lanterns.

Pull the ends of the retainer clip (handle looking thing on the metal pump cover) out of the holes. The pump can be pulled out at that time. I just replaced a pump, and walmart sells replacement pumps. It was very easy.

Kerosene lanterns require a little more than just lighting the mantles. Go to Coleman's website and find the directions (for free) for KEROSENE lanterns. The generator on the lantern needs to be preheated with alcohol before it will actually light. Make sure lantern is a Kerosene lantern and not a white gas (Coleman fuel) type, there is a difference even though they look similar.

It is stuck into the holder with double sided tape on the bottom. Gently and firmly pull it up, applying more pressure on one of the narrow ends verses the other to make the tape let go.
