Question about Kenwood DDX7017 Car DVD Player

The screen is lighter than normal

The wife drove the car and now the screen is lighter than normal and i go to the screen adjust and this dont fix the problem.

Did you try to reset it on the front of the unit?

Lights turn on but the screen dont come out ?


If there is a noise you can hear when the screen is supposed to be comming out... you may have a broken belt or gear to the motor ...
Does the system function normally with the screen in?

Ive got my jensen vm 9512 wired in but i cannot see anytink dare is but no video.. a warning thing keeps cumin up,.. is it safe to wire to the cigarette lighter as the handbrake wont work it.


It's not safe to wire at the cigarette lighter you must hook it up to the handbrake but after you connect it there is a few steps to program the screen before. You can find it how to in your installation manual.

cheak ur dvd player or your screen and make sure that u have a good and strong ground and make sure no wires are loss and if that dont work then cheak the monitors wires and make sure they not loss

DVD doesn't play


Hello, I realy dont tink the fuse have anything to with it. teh fuse is only to secure any item been plug wont short due to a bad connection. If I was you I would look for the nearest alpine repair shop and have it look at, the parts can be purchased at http://www.pacparts.com/cart.cfm?CFID=1793760&CFTOKEN=58711489. hope this help. JR

How do i adjust sound


Volume buttons are not on the touch screen, they are below it on the face of the radio and are clearly marked on the remote.

Lots of static when playing over the stereo speakers, and the screen seems loose


sorry but what u have is called a fm modulator some are adjustable some not go to your local car audio shop to find out or take your headunit out and look behind it if so tune the fm mod to a different station one thats not being used there are three preset station on the fm mod but remember just because theres no station on that radio channel were u live dont mean there wont be one when u go into town thats the bad thing about fm mods best thing to do is get a indash cd dvd radio and as far as the lose screen just hand tighten the screws flip down the screen look up there should be 4 or 6 screws there just tighten them up a little this is normal
