No sign of screen coming to life when plugged into wiring and switched on, however Automatic Radio Antenna extends when Power button is activated.

- Further trial and error testing reveals that the Radio,DVD,CD,and possibly GPS touch screen buttons and sound are all functioning, but not visible on black screen. This would seem to indicate that there is some malfunction of the video output.Ideas please.

well the radio is really functioning based on what you are saying. there was a comment post by world vet in the premiums that you opened up. i saw and he has a point. the display could have been damaged by voltage surge. but you did not jumped start it right?.. it could happen during jump starting or starting with a big electric charger. if there would, be non sense response from some of the experts here, might as well have it repair or if the repair is so much as to buy a new one, then i suggest this is a lesson learned to turne off all electronics before jumps starting or pushing the car to start.

i know i was not able to fix your problem but ratings are much important to us as answering your questions, now a TFT would give me a minus 0.4 and a Helpful would just be a minus 0.1.
can i ask for a favor and the rating would just be a Helpful rather than a TFT, just for ratings sake.

- that could be true. but the video cables are not external right?...it is internal with the radio. so it seems. either that connection had the problem (the internal connection of video) or the display itself was fried due to the voltage fluctuation that happen when it was started by pushing it. could have been rev too high once it started. that would be our instinct.tnx again,
