What's the last thing you did before that problem started? I suspect your PSP is BRICKED. if you can give me the following, I may be able to help you revive your PSP, of course with the right tools.
1. PSP Make (Slim or Phat)
2. PSP Motherboard
3. Last CFW installed before it bricked
New version of UPMSv3 - universal PSP Unbricker/Downgrader/Upgrader, also known as Pandora's Ultimate Magic Stick, Now work with DC ver4 (Dark_AleX’s), for installing CFw 3.80M33-5
and creating memory stick into a “Ultimate Magic Stick” for use with
“Pandora’s battery” (jigkick). Works for both PSP, Slim and/or Fat, and
1 stick for all functions for Unbricker/Downgrader tools. Also
available is the “UPMS_v3.pdf Guide” to help you get started and usage.
The Ultimate Pandora’s Magic Stick is the simple solution to easily accomplish any of the following:
Recover any bricked PSP (Fat or Slim) and install sony firmware or CFw M33.
Upgrade Fat-Slims PSP to CFw 3.80M33-5, with 1.50 kernel patch-Fat Only.
Upgrade Fat-Slims PSP to CFw 3.71 M33-2, with 1.50 kernel patch-2 -Fat Only.
Update to 3.71M33-4 are installed to the ‘GAME’ folder from the XMB.
Downgrade Fat PSP to Fw 1.50.
Upgrade Fat PSP straight to CFw 3.52M33 from Extended Boot Menu then install update 3.52 M33-4 from XMB, without need to downgrade to 1.50.
Boot up PSP using Ultimate Loader with support for choosing which Pandora’s you reach V1, V3 or V4.
Boot up PSP to XMB with UPMS inserted-Fat Only.
Boot up to a full FW 1.50 from Memory Stick-Fat Only.
Use PSP Filer and other tools (If it requires 1.50, can’t for Slims).
Note: This software is free, and comes
with no warranty. Despite it has been tested and it has worked, there
is some risk with any PSP operation that involves flashing, so please
try this at your own risk!.
Only Memory Stick "Pro Duo" are compatible.
Memory Stick Duo are not supported. Read more... for installation here.!
I think upgrading to higher versions will disable you from playing homebrew. Try CFW that is 6.20 or upgrade it to 6.35... Be careful though, installing CFW to your PSP (especially it's slim which has the chance to have a TA088v3 MoBo) may result to PSP bricking.
Try to search the web as many as possible to make sure you're doing the right thing. I cannot give you the answer here because playing homebrew in PSP is quite vast and if I were you, I'll browse a lot before touching my PSP again... Here's what you need to know;
1. Your PSP Slim MoBo (Motherboard) - make sure that it's not TA088v3. To know your MoBo version, download and install PSPIdent in your PSP and run it. It will create an image file detailing what is your PSP MoBo version.
2. Being ready for Pandora and Magic Memory stick in case you brick your PSP (which works only to those with non TA088v3 boards).
3. Files you are downloading. Installing CFW to play homebrew is tricky. You need to download the correct file which is ultimately relative to each other in order to do it right.
Now, you may consider browsing PSPmod and everythign Dark Alex is doing to get a worthy solution to your problem...
Ok: 1)This is illegal 2)I need to know if you have a v3 motherboard 3)If you do then you cant do anything for now wait till a HEN is developed and DONT update 4)If dont have a v3 mobo then you can use 6.37 ME CFW (its buggy still) or buy a pandora battery and downgrade
you have to mod your psp with a cfw - custom firm ware instead of the ofw - official firm ware (which u get from sony). which psp do you have??? i know u can put cfw on the 1000s (the phat), the 2000s (the older slim) but not the 3000s (which is the newer slim) or the go... thats how it was last time i checked anyway. this is an older video but he did update it awhile back...
look for this guy jaki54321 on youtube
there are 2 different ways you can go about doing this. 1) buying games from psn -- with this all you have to do is set up your psp so that its able to connect to the psn. and when u buy a game you can download it to your memory stick.
2) involves installing a custom firm ware on your psp which will void warranty. you can serch the web/youtube for this. this guy on youtube helped me alot to cfw my psp.
just know that last i checked its best to cfw the 1000 (the fat original) and the 2000 (the original slim psp)series. with the cfw on newer models 3000 series (the new slim with improved display) and the go its not recommended for the cfw is not too stable. you can check the bottom side below the start button to see what model u have.. it'll probably be like psp2001 etc etc....
