LT582s Mag Innovision

The only thing I get on the screen is a blue box that reads "NO Signal" for about 5 seconds and then it goes to a black screen with no images?

Hi,

It all depends if the Mag has been used before on the same system or it is a new installation or on a different computer.

  • If it is connected to an existing set-up and has been used previously, then possibly it is the computer's video card/memory or just not booting. Alternately, it could be the video interface/main board of the monitor or even possibly the cable;
  • If it is just being installed on a known good computer, then it could be that the screen resolution and/or the screen refresh rate of the display properties of the computer needs to be lowered down.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Appreciate the quick reply. Your description eliminates the power supply, the CCF lamps, the inverter which leaves us only with the AD/Logic board sometimes called the mainboard or the video interface. Further, this is confirmed when you tried the same monitor on different computers (or the other way around, another monitor on the same computer).

If you are considering board replacement, it would be a matter of determining the board number as often similar boards are used by different brands/models.

On the other hand, if you are considering component level repair, then this would require a fair familiarity of electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings.

Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Pls post back the part number of the AD/Logic board.

It's not communicating with PC video card. It should pick up the input port, but make sure on monitor is set to correct input like VGA. You can try re-seating video card. Also test with VGA if you are using HD like HDMI.

Go to your monitor's official website or Go to www.download.com / www.softpedia.com in driver section. If not there, then Search on google by typing the driver name of your monitor and then find that from various website.

Black screen

It is most likely that the filter capacitors on the power inverter board have failed. I took mine apart and found seven swollen capacitors on the this board, they fail prematurely and seem to be the only thing wrong with the unit. I replaced them and now it is working just fine.

six 470uf 25v electrolytic capacitors and one 220uf 25v Capacitor.

you should not attempt to repair this yourself unless you have some electronics training since there is a shock hazzard involved and also these capacitors will blow apart if they are installed incorrectly (very messy experience).

Monitor screen goes out (black) 2 seconds after turning on

Your site is extremely misleading and fraudulent. I was under the impression that I would at least get a hint at what might be a problem instead of you folks making me wait to get a money for something answer that you could have displayed on your main page. Places like yours have no place on the internet and I'm going to find out what I can do to report you.

Thank's for nothing

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Beautiful screen, lasts about for a few minutes, goes black. Power button still green. If I turn it off, and then back on, it works again for a while. Any ideas?

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
