I bought a phone for my son and it was on orange its second hand so went to market stall to have it unlocked to any network but now it says limited service can anyone help plz

To unlock it from a provider, you need a sim from the provider and an unlock code from them. They won't give out any code for a stolen phone. There are sites on the net, that give out codes for a fee. It is not legal, so you won't find it easy, and not every code they sell works.

you will probably need to get the phone unlocked for use on any network then you should be able to put a south African sim card in it. Some phone shops/market stalls can do this for a small fee.

most second hand phone shops or phone market stalls will do it while you wait for £5 - £10. The software and updates to do it cost a fortune, not worth getting unless you're going into business

That is the hardest Razr model to unlock.I don't know of any free solution and not sure if my tool would even unlock it.

well i dont no were you live but the market in reading does this on the phone stalls for 10 pounds if you dont live near reading try your local market with a phone stall

hello there....well its quite simple...to unlock the phone to any network you need to call the customer care of your original network provider( orange) ....just keep the model number of your phone number handy (you will find that on the box in which you got the phone)...or the IMEI number (15 digits mostly) by dialing *#06# on your phone or beneath the battery or on the box near bar code....this is a paid service and charges differ from network to network

that should solve the problem.....you will be able to use any sim in your phone of any service around the world

going back to point of purchase might also help as you were given a wrong information
