Hi Carzales,

Please follow this link directly to HP's download site. Once there, select your operating system, and then select the driver from the list that follows. you can download just the driver, or the driver and all the other software ( very large file, but there if you need it ).

Please remember to take a moment to rate this solution as "fixya" if this resolves your issue.

Thanks,

Cory

It is running very slow . It can't read a little bit old cd\ dvd. When a cd/dvd is inserted system has encounted a problem amd hang up for several minutes .............. and it can't burn disc...

This sounds like a simple problem to fix. You need to get a cd/dvd cleaner disk and place it in the drive. Allow the disk to perform as indicated by the audio instructions included on the disk. All modern lens cleaning disks have the audio instructions that play as the disk is in the machine, so that the customer knows what to do, and in what order to do it in.

After running the disk, get a NEW blank cd, and try to burn some files onto it. If it works right, then that was all that was wrong, if not, then you have corrupted firmware, which is also a relatively easy procedure to fix. Just go to the drive manufacturers website and download the latest firmware fore your drive.

''A disk error has occured'' upon start up

You cannot. (Remove any media from the diskette-drive and from the CD drive, and try again to reboot.)

The message is indicating that the disk-drive containing Windows is *NOT* readable. So, nothing can be read from the disk-drive.

Take the computer, and the original "IBM System Recovery" set of CD-ROMs, to a computer-store, and get them to remove the "dead" disk-drive, and install a new one, and to re-install Windows from the IBM CDs.

Maybe, while Windows itself cannot be read from the "old" disk-drive, the computer-store *MAY* be able to recover your "data" files.

When i am trying to install my printer the wizard can't find the printer. there doesn,t seem to be anything on the instalation disc, when i open it in " my computer" nothing appears

The installation disk should auto boot if not it is corrupt

Go into explore and find the CD drive with the disk in, double click on the drive and the contents should be displayed on the file listings

If not go into add and remove programs and unistall any other copies you may have made of the software

Unplug the printer before trying a fresh install and if you know how to do it change the boot sequence into asking for the CD/DVD as the first option.

Lastly try plugging the USB cable into the PC when Windows is fully loaded , it should try to find the software itself

Computer does not seem to recognise disc. I keep

Hello !

Either your disk or disk drive is problematic.

Try your disk in another PC to test. If the disk works, your CD drive is faulty. Try another disk in your computer's drive. If the disk doesn't work, you have confirmed that the drive is faulty.

If the drive is a problem, I would suggest to purchase a disk head cleaner, first. Then, if the drive is still a problem, it would need replacing.

Hope this helps.

Cannot install HP 6310 Officejet 'run as'

Hook up the printer.  Turn it and the computer on.  Let Windows find the printer. Windows will ask you if you have the disk. Insert the disk then. If you need aditional help look at the web link for the HP printer that you have.  See Link Below:

Hello here! i have tried to install my lexmark x5150 to my compacq laptop, and cant get it to print, i have installed the disc countless times wiyh out any progress can you help?

Try this:
first uninstall the disc's software
than restart the laptop
if correct it will automaticly detect your printer and ask for the disk.
cancel the installation.
Insert the disk and cancel the automatic running program for installation.
go to start, printers, add new printer and follow the steps from there untill it says "have disk" click on have disc and brose to your CD drive. It will automatically indicate which program it requires, search on the disc that program and click OK and continue the steps.

Reason: automatic installations from manufacturers sometimes do not install all files needed by windows, installing via windows itself it will automaticcaly pick the correct files from the disc.

Lexmark X2500 wont read on the computer (2008 HP Vista).

please try reinstalling the drivers. unplug the printer from the pc, reinstall drivers. restart pc before you plug the printer back in to the pc. after restart, plug printer back in. should work. do you have the install disc for the printer? If you do, and the first fix did not work, plaug the printer into the pc. Put the install disc into disc drive. if the autoplay is running it should ask you if you want to read the files on the disc, just close this window. Then go to START-RUN(type in) DEVMGMT.MSC and find the printer option. expan and right click on the little printer and choose "UPDATE DRIVER" it will then give an option to choose from updating from a specific location or install from a specific location. choose FROM A SPECIFIC LOCATION. another window will pop up with the choice to search from removable media ie floppy, cd etc, etc. choose that option if it hasnt already. It shouls all be automatic from her on out. Good luck.

How to download unreadable disc for lexmark printer

The printer install disc may be faulty or your disc drive is faulty.
Insert the disc into a different computer, if it can be read then the problem is your disc drive.
If it is your disc drive, turn off your computer, open your computer and remove and reconnect the power and data cables on the "faulty" drive, switch on your computer, let it boot up and install the printer disc.
If it still cannot read the disc then you need to replace the faulty disc drive with a new one.
