KitchenAid Superba Double Oven clock won't light up

The clock on the oven wont stay lit. Very annoying. It is keeping time as it lights up if you push the clock button, but then it goes black again. Any solution?

This worked for me too. I had to press cancel first, so the clock went off again, then held down the Clock*Set*Start button for 5 seconds, til it displayed the time, and it stayed lit (the "start?" message did not display). Thank you aborcass!!

Wow. Why didn't I google this 6 months ago?? Thanks so much for your solution! Our clock quit displaying a while back when the power went out, and I just assumed the board was on the fritz since it's 17 years old and no amount of button pushing did the trick. Until now. Yay!! THANK YOU!!

Solution: after holding the clock button for 3-5 seconds the start? display will turn off. Then turn on your oven as if you are going to use it to bake or broil. The start? should disappear. This worked for me.

Probe light on convection oven stays on. Clock won't display. Oven still works though.

Sounds like the control board is not communicating correctly with the rest of the unit, consult a professional.

Can we light a gas oven manually, it is a kitchenaid superba

No, You have to replace it. When the ignitor grows weak, it does not allow enough voltage through it to open the gas valve. Very common problem. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

KitchenAid Superba double oven: can't set clock.

If you turn the center knob (marked 'time') to the right, it sets the timer; but if you turn it sufficiently far to the left, it goes into clock set mode. When you get to the correct time, press start.

Kitchenaid superba 27 double oven clock - can't change the time!

I went to the website:
from page 8
Turn the knob to the left until a tone is heard and "time" appears in the display window. The previously set time will appear in the display window.

Continue turning the time knob in either direction until the correct time of day appears in the display window

Press the START button to begin clock operation
