    Good day!

    You said that your sound driver did not work properly. Was their an error when you install the sound driver? If there is an error, means we have to find a sound driver with the same version with what you have? Can you show the type of driver, so that we can search for that type of driver in the internet?

    Thanks.

Greetings,
This means that their is a sound indicator but no sound comes out from your headphone.
I want you to double click the speaker icon found at the bottom of your task bar, along with the time and other icon.
A dialog box will appear, un-check all the option found on that window, add also some option by clicking the file options.
Thanks again.

Hi i have a 945 motherboard with xp but audio is not getting installed on it i tried to ac97 realtek but it is not working please tell me which audio to install and where i find it.

Go to the motherboard manufacturer web site for the current versions of drivers needed for your particular operating system. You may have installed original drivers (CD) for the original operating system the MB was made for. A newer operating system will need newer drivers to work properly. 97 is a common on board audio system. Check on "Control Panel/Sounds & Audio devices" and make sure you PC is set to use the correct audio option. If it is correct, go to "Control Panel/System/Hardware and look at the audio in the system list. If there is a yellow astrek next to it, it means that there is a problem with it. Click on it so it only shows the astrek item, right click and select update driver. It will search your system for a better driver as well as the Internet if the computer is on line.
If nothing seems to work there are relatively inexpensive audio cards available. Go to a computer shop and buy an OEM package (half price without the retail packaging). When installing the card be sure the power cord is unplugged. After the card is in your system will say it has found new hardware. Insert the software CD and then let your system get the drivers from it. Afterwords let the computer open the CD (autoplay) and install additional software such as user stereo controls design for the sound card.

Hi...I can't get any sound from my speakers. I've

Uninstall you're current sound drivers. Re-start you're system. Open the link provided by Realtek;
http://152.104.125.41/downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false
Left click in the box to the left of, I accept to the above. Than click the Next button. Download and install, version A4.06, when finished restart you're system. Check windows for possible hardware updates. Load windows update, click the custom button (Not the express button). Windows will scan you're system. Check to the left, "Hardware Updates".
Download and install any updates found. If there are no driver updates for you're audio and you're audio still does function, than the audio chip on the MB is defective. The audio chip is not removable unlike the bios chip. This can not be repaired.
A work around for this would be to enter you're bios and set the audio to disabled. Buy a PCI audio sound card and install it along with its software.
Many MBs audio chips go bad. The difference between older boards and most newer board like Asus. One can buy a new audio chip from the manufacture. Below is the link to AOpen;
http://download.aopen.com.tw/Default.aspx
The audio driver software for you're AOpen MB is embedded within the, Intel Chipset Software Installation Driver.

Cheers'

OK let me start by saying I didn't ready any of the above. The simple answer is to buy a pci sound card. That will take care of the problem cheap and fast. It's likely that your onboard sound died on the motherboard. I used to own that board and random things would fail on it all the time.

Sound card should run you $20 or less.

if you are afraid to update the bios i dont blame you dont do it. If the bios updates and your processor is no longer supported becasue the amount of size of the bios chihps memory the manufacture can only put in a limited amount of info so dont update bios. If i were you i would go into control panel and remove any audio software related to your sound card. Then go into the device manager( right click my computer' then properties. then device manager and then scroll down to sounds video and game cont. and expand this . see if there is a sound card installed if so remove it as well as all software related to it. After this at top of device man. screen click on scan for changes . when it finds your sound card you will get a prompt to search everytwhere this includes the internet agree to do this ......then you might get another prompt to go online agree to this. see if this helps. oh i forgot to mentioin to make sure those speakers do work if you can plug them into another computer or vice versa see if you can borrow a little set of speakers from someone and see if those work. and make sure to plug into green port on back closest to your monitor cable. let me know how you made out and good luck

SOUND ICON

Hi jeff, before you can try setting up audio for TV, suggest you
update the sound driver software from the link below
Intel's web site for the D915GAG motherboard. Bios, drivers, software applications & documentation.
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.aspx?strTypes=all&ProductID=1672&OSFullName=Windows*+XP+Professional&lang=eng&strOSs=44&submit=Go%21
Download & install Audio: Realtek* ALCxxx Driver. 3/18/2007.
After installation you should have the Realtek icon by the clock. If not open control panel & open the Realtek icon. There is a box in the setting to load Realtek when windows starts.
In order to get sound to you're TV you'll need to buy an audio jack 1/8" to run between PC rear out jack (Replacing the PC speakers), up to the input jack on the TV. Check the TV's manual for the type of cable used for sound input. There is very little information in the manual about the sound card. There is no information on how to hook the PC's to TV audio system. Check page 47 in you're manual.

Luck!
Mike
