Suzie, your reciver is going into a protection mode. There is a problem with one of your speakers, the wiring, or +with the reciver itself. If you know how to use a multimeter, then you can test the resistance of the speaker, as if one speaker was partally shorted this problem would occor. If you have another set of speakers, try them. If not then you will need to have the reciver bench checked for a fault.

My tv when connected to a video pics and sound comes normal, but when tuned to a tv station no sound will come but pic is fine.

Make sure your SAP button is not turned on. This will give you a no audio condition when watching broadcasts thru the tuner. If this doesn't help then your tuner could be defective.

We have an Magnavox 26mf337B and we have no sound

Hi there,
A TV without sound is awful. So let's take some steps to see if we can get it up and running.
1) Check your input cables - if you're trying to watch something through another device (cable box/satellite box/dvd player ETC) make sure that the cables coming from it are inserted correctly into the TV. If the device has it's own seperate sound output (VOL controls) be sure they are turned at least midway UP.
2) Check the settings on your TV - Sometimes TV's have a setting where you can select audio output (speakers, 2.1 5.1, stereo, etc etc) Make sure you have it set to output sound to it's own speakers and adjust the volume to an audible level.
3) Check the audio OUTput on the TV itself - Connect the white and red (or in some cases black and red) RCA jacks to the audio input on a stereo receiver. See if sound comes out. If this is the case, you have either selected the wrong output on your TV's settings, or your Tv's speakers are dead.

Hope this helps you solve your issue!

I have a problem with my tv tuner not able to hear any audio from it.. only the picture is coming.. please help..

Almost all TV Tuners have to be plugged into your soundcard for you to get sound. If you already have it plugged into your soundcard, double click on your sound icon to bring up your volume control, it will have several sliders on it. Make sure all the sliders are up and you should be able to hear sound from the TV Tuner. Also, if the TV Tuner is NOT picking up any stations, you will probably not hear static.

No sound coming from Sony Receiver STR-DG510?

Sounds like you are pretty close with this one. If you select fm tuner do you get audio. If not you may have the speakers on the wrong a-b setting. Make sure the audio from your cable box is not muted or turned down.

Hey, i dont know what sound card i have, theres somthing wrong though.. plz help

assume "something wrong" means "there's no sound" coming out of the speakers. A few things to check first:

1) Make sure your cable to your speakers is plugged in, and plugged into the right jack. It should be the green one on the back of your PC.

2) Click on the "speaker" icon down on your task bar (right-hand side), and that will open up your sound settings. Make sure it isn't a) muted, or b) turned way down low.

3) If you have powered speakers (plugged into the wall), make sure they are getting power to them.

After you've done all that, figure out what model computer you have, and based on that I can probably tell what kind of sound card you have (most these days are built onto the motherboard).
