Question about Frigidaire FGF326AS Gas Kitchen Range
Most of the time the oven works, but has lately been "hard" to start, or goes out after reaching temperature. The glow of the igniter is present but is quite hit or miss about firing up. This seems true for broil and bake, but mostly bake. Thanks! Steve
Replace the igniter. Igniters seem to get a bit weaker as they age. They have to draw a minimum amperage (say for example 3.2 amps) before the gas safety valve will release gas. The old igniter is probably drawing very close to the minimum. Low voltages (say 110 volts) would make this worse than if you had higher voltages (say 120).
